Charles Grant Sackett, son of Philetus Sackett and Susan Anna Owens, was born in Hanover, Jackson County, Michigan^G, on 4 October 1873.¹
     In 1910 Charles was living in Napoleon, Jackson County, Michigan^G, and was recorded in the census as Charles Sacket, a farm laborer, aged 37, single. Charles and his brother James, 27, were hired men on the farm of Fred Long.²

James Arthur Sackett, son of Philetus Sackett and Susan Anna Owens, was born in Hillsdale County, Michigan^G, on 9 March 1884.¹ He died aged 84 in Lenawee County, Michigan^G, in December 1968 and was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Adrian, Lenawee County^G.^3,4 He married in Addison, Lenawee County^G, on 21 August 1912, Zoa Belle Wolff, daughter of Orra S Wolff and Mary Johns.² Zoa was born in Waldron, Hillsdale County^G, on 31 May 1896.^5,6 James and Zoa divorced in Lenawee County^G on 10 March 1933 following the filing of a petition on 23 September 1929.⁷ Zoa married second in Hillsdale, Michigan^G, on 2 May 1934, Joseph Eleazer Johns.⁸ Zoa died aged 80 at Coldwater, Branch County, Michigan^G, on 6 February 1977 and was buried at Waldron Cemetery, Waldron, Hillsdale County^G.³
     In 1900 James was living in the Industrial School for Boys, Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan^G, and was recorded in the census as James Sackett, an inmate, aged 16 and born in Michigan.⁹
     In 1910 he was living in Napoleon, Jackson County, Michigan^G, and was recorded as James Sacket, a farm laborer, aged 27, a widower. James and his brother Charles, 37, were hired men on the farm of Fred Long.¹⁰ James was recorded as a widower on the 1910 census. A record of a prior marriage has not so far been found.
     James completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was aged 34 and was a farmer. He was living in Brooklyn, Jackson County, Michigan^G, with his wife Zoa.¹¹
     In 1920 he was living in Dover, Lenawee County, Michigan^G, and was recorded as James Sackett, a farm laborer, head of household, aged 33. Living with him were his wife Zoa, 23, and their children, Marie, 6, Charles, 3, Carrie, 1, and William, aged three months.¹²
     In 1930, Zoa, aged 34, was living at Manum Road, Madison, Lenawee County^G, with her children, Ella, 16, Charles, 13, Carrie, 12, William, 10, Mary, 8, Paul, 5, Hazel, 3, and Lillian, aged one.¹³
     In 1935 James was living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin^G.¹⁴
     In 1940 he was living in Rollin, Lenawee County^G, and was recorded as James Arthur Sackett, a farm laborer, aged 56, divorced.¹⁴
     In 1940, Zoa, 44, was living at Moscow Road, Moscow, Hillsdale County^G, with her second husband Joseph Johns, 28, a farm laborer. Living with them were Zoa's children, Paul, 14, Hazel, 13, and Lillian, 11, and Joseph and Zoa's children, Roy, 7, and Minion, aged five.¹⁵
     James completed a World War II draft registration card on 27 April 1942. He was then aged 58 and was employed by W M Cornelius. He was living at Manitou Beach, Lenawee County^G.¹⁶

Ella Marie Sackett, daughter of James Arthur Sackett and Zoa Belle Wolff, was born in Michigan^G in 1913.¹ She died in 1991.¹

Betty married second in Indiana^G on 24 February 1950, Max Halferty.⁹ Paul married second in 1947, Louisa Mae Proctor, daughter of Roland Phillip Proctor and Louise Florence Peacock. Louisa was born in Salt Lake City, Utah^G, on 26 February 1929.⁷ They divorced before 1950.¹⁰ Louisa married second on 7 October 1955 Clifton E Pritzkau. She died aged 79 in Tooele, Utah^G, on 8 July 2008 and was buried at Tooele City Cemetery^G.⁷ Paul married third in Jonesville, Hillsdale County, Michigan^G, on 26 July 1952, Katherine Cora Badders, daughter of Alvie Badders and Vera Blair.⁶ Katherine was born in Jonesville^G on 27 May 1924. She died aged 88 in Hillsdale, Michigan^G, on 20 June 2012 and was buried at Sunset View Cemetery, Jonesville^G.⁷

Hazel May Sackett, daughter of James Arthur Sackett and Zoa Belle Wolff, was born in Tecumseh, Lenawee County, Michigan^G, on 6 January 1927.^1,2 She died aged 79 in North Adams, Hillsdale County, Michigan^G, on 9 June 2006.^1,2,3 She married first in Osseo, Hillsdale County, Michigan^G, on 20 September 1943, Lawrence Edwin Whetstone, son of Frank E Whetstone and Faye E Korsts.⁴ Lawrence was born in Osseo^G on 2 May 1917.^5,6 He died on 29 November 1999.^6,7 She married second in 1976, Benjamin Aaron Gamble, son of Jesiah Franklin Gamble and Maude Crudell.³ Benjamin was born in Blue Island, Cook County, Illinois^G, on 2 August 1914.³ He died aged 86 in Adrian, Lenawee County, Michigan^G, on 13 September 2000 and was buried at Pleasant View Union Cemetery, Fayette, Fulton County, Ohio^G.^3,8
