     In 1980 Stephen and Angela were living in Hawthorn East, Melbourne, Victoria^G.²

Harriet Elise Bentley Scrafford, known as Elise, daughter of Ransom Bentley Scrafford and Margaret Eleanor Reed, was born in New York State^G on 30 March 1894.^1,2 She died aged 77 in February 1972.¹ She married in Fruit Vale Farm, Vischer Ferry, Saratoga County, New York State^G, on 5 November 1913, James Ensign Keeler.^1,3 James was born in New York State^G about 1892² and died aged 79 in Utica, Oneida County, New York State^G, on 30 May 1972.⁴
     In 1910 Harriet was living in Charlton, Saratoga County, New York State^G, in the household of her parents Ransom and Maggie, and was recorded in the census as Elise B Scrafford, aged 16 and born in New York.⁵
     In 1920 Elise was living in Danube, Herkimer County, New York State^G, in the household of her husband James, 28, a dairy farmer, and was recorded in the census as Elise Keeler, aged 25 and born in New York. Living with them were their children, James, 5, Margaretta, 4, and Elise, aged two.⁶

Earl R Scrafford, son of Ransom Bentley Scrafford and Margaret Eleanor Reed, was born in New York State^G about 1885.¹
     In 1910 Earl was living in Charlton, Saratoga County, New York State^G, in the household of his parents Ransom and Maggie, and was recorded in the census as Earl R Scrafford, at college, single, aged 24 and born in New York.²

Farristena Reed, daughter of Stephen Elijah Reed and Rachel Ann Fonda, was born in New York State^G about 1849.¹
     In 1850 Farristena was living at Clifton Park, Saratoga County, New York State^G, and was recorded in the census as Farristena Reed, aged one and born in New York. She was living with her parents Stephen and Rachel in the household of her grandparents Elijah and Mary Reed.²

Sir Richard Burton, son of Sir John Burton and Honor Harvey-Thursby, was born on 23 November 1773.¹ He died aged 81 in Sackett's Hill House, St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, on 3 September 1855^2,3,4 and was buried at St Peter in Thanet^G on 8 September 1855.⁸ He married in St Peter's Church^G on 27 April 1802, Elizabeth Crofts, daughter of Robert Crofts.^1,5,6,7 Elizabeth was born in St Peter in Thanet^G about 1782⁹ and died aged 82 at Sackett's Hill House^G on 26 October 1865.^10,11
     In 1861 Richard's widow Elizabeth was living at Sackett's Hill, St Peter in Thanet^G, and was recorded in the census as Elizbth Burton, widow of a knight, head of household, aged 78 and born in St Peter's. Her daughter, May/Mary?, 57, and a six-year-old boy were visiting. There were four servants: cook, housemaid, coachman, and footman.¹²
     Sir Richard was an Equerry to King William IV, by whom he was styled 'The First Gentleman of Thanet'. When the King came over from Hanover from time to time and landed at Broadstairs or Ramsgate, Sir Richard met His Majesty and put him up at Sackett's Hill House.¹¹
     (Note: Sir Richard Burton of Sackett's Hill House was not the same as, nor related to, the more famous Sir Richard Francis Burton, the Victorian explorer and translator who, among much else, brought the Kama Sutra to publication in English. An error of identity in the local Thanet Gazette in 1916 was corrected in a letter from Colonel Burton-Brown, grandson of the Sackett's Hill Sir Richard.)¹¹

Bethania Edith Metcalf, known as Edith, daughter of Clifford Metcalf and Sarah Matilda Davis, was born in North Bend, Dodge County, Nebraska^G, on 9 October 1908.¹ She died aged 83 in Sylmar, Los Angeles County, California^G, on 6 June 1992.¹ She married Arnold August Gottier, son of Eduard Gottier and Anna Wermuth. Arnold was born in Rushville, Sheridan County, Nebraska^G, on 16 January 1909² and died aged 69 in Yucalpa, San Bernardino County, California^G, on 18 October 1978.²

Cecil Metcalf, daughter of Clifford Metcalf and Sarah Matilda Davis, was born in Colorado^G in 1911.¹

John Metcalf, son of Clifford Metcalf and Sarah Matilda Davis, was born in Illinois^G in 1913.¹
