Rachel Ellen Reed, daughter of Elijah Fitch Reed and Mary Jacobia, was born in New York State^G in March 1847.^1,2 She married John W Sweet.¹
     In 1850 Rachel was living at Clifton Park, Saratoga County, New York State^G, in the household of her parents Elijah and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Rachael Hellen Reed, aged three and born in New York.³

Stephen Elijah Reed, farmer, son of Elijah Fitch Reed and Mary Jacobia, was born in New York State^G on 4 April 1826.^1,2 He died aged 82 on 13 November 1908^3,4 and was buried at Vischer Ferry Cemetery, Saratoga County, New York State^G.⁴ He married on 23 December 1846, Rachel Ann Fonda, daughter of Jacob J Fonda and Maria Myers.¹ Rachel was born on 15 January 1827.⁴ She died aged 60 on 4 March 1887⁴ and was buried at Vischer Ferry Cemetery^G.⁴
     In 1850 Stephen was living at Clifton Park, Saratoga County, New York State^G, in the household of his parents Elijah and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Stephen Reed, a farmer, aged 24 and born in New York. Living with him were his wife Rachel, 22, and their children, Mary Esther, 3, and Farristena, aged one.⁵
     In 1880 he was living at Vischers Ferry, Clifton Park, Saratoga County^G, and was recorded as Stephen Reed, a farmer, aged 54 and born in New York. Living with him were his wife Rachel, 53, their children, Maggie, 17, and Arthetta, 15, and Stephen's widowed brother Van Ranslan, 52.⁶

Van Rensselaer Reed, son of Elijah Fitch Reed and Mary Jacobia, was born in New York State^G on 25 December 1827.^1,2 He married Lucinda Hall.¹
     In 1850 he was living at Clifton Park, Saratoga County, New York State^G, in the household of his parents Elijah and Mary, and was recorded as Ransalier Reed, a farmer, aged 22 and born in New York.³
     In 1880 he was living at Vischers Ferry, Clifton Park, Saratoga County^G, in the household of his brother Stephen and sister-in-law Rachel, and was recorded as Van Ranslan Reed, a farm worker, a widower, aged 52 and born in New York.⁴

Frank E Sackett, son of Aaron D P Sackett and Emeline Ostrander, was born in New York State^G in 1858.^1,2
