Florence Mercy Feavearyear, daughter of George Noah Feavearyear and Florence Mabel Lawrence, was born in Chattenden, KentG, in 1907.1,2 She died aged about 83 in 1990.2 She married first Frederick Brooman.2 Frederick died during the Second World War in 1943 when his ship, HMS Welshpool, was torpedoed off the coast of Tobruk. Florence married second in 1955, Alfred Henry Hooper, her first cousin, son of John Hender Hooper and Emily Mercy Lawrence.2
     In 1911 Florence was living at 13 Police Quarrters, Chattenden, Rochester, KentG, in the household of her parents George and Florence, and was recorded in the census as Florence Mercy Feavearyear, aged three and born in Chattenden.3
     Florence and her daughter Bessie emigrated to Australia in October 1952.
     Alfred and Florence lived in Sydney for five years following their marriage, then moved to Tasmania.2
