Elmer married second in Christian County^G on 13 November 1934, Laura Dryden.⁵ Laura was born in Missouri^G about 1886.² They divorced in 1939 or 1940.²

     In 1930 he was living at South Douglas Street, Springfield^G, and was recorded as Elmer Sackett, a laborer on the steam railway, head of household, aged 55. He rented his home. Living with him were his wife Lillie, 53, and their son Forrest, 20, and daughter-in-law Margaret, 20. There was also a female boarder in the household.¹⁵
     In 1939 Elmer and his second wife, Laura, were living in Springfield^G at West Walnut Street. His first wife, Lillie was living at South Fort Avenue.¹⁶
     At the date of the 1940 census, 2 April, Elmer was a patient in the State Hospital, Washington, Vernon County, Missouri^G.¹⁷ Laura, aged 54 and now divorced, was living at Walnut Street, Springfield^G. She had reverted to her maiden name Dryden.¹⁸ Elmer's first wife, Lillie, was living with her daughter Velma and son-in-law Bert Hunter in Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri^G.^19,20

Florence Jean Sackett, daughter of Christopher C Sackett and Annie Walls, was born in Missouri^G on 16 September 1896.² She died aged 90 in Springfield, Greene County, Missouri^G, in December 1986.² She married in Springfield, Greene County^G, on 28 June 1913, Homer A Young.³

Forrest Sackett, son of Elmer R Sackett and Lillie May Hamilton, was born in Nixa, Christian County, Missouri^G, on 3 May 1909.^1,2 He died aged 59 at the Burge Protestant Hospital, Springfield, Greene County, Missouri^G, on 18 January 1969 and was buried at Payne Cemetery, Nixa^G.^3,4 He married on 11 May 1929, Margaret Mae Justice, daughter of Jacob Gilbert Justice and Belle L Ball.¹ They later divorced.² Margaret was born in Iowa Point, Doniphan County, Kansas^G, on 22 January 1909.⁴ She died aged 79 in Springfield^G on 25 November 1988⁵ and was buried at Patterson Cemetery, Springfield^G.⁴

     Forrest was listed in the Springfield City Directory from 1929. He was working at the Wilshire Cheese Company by 1946 and continued there until at least 1957.⁹

He died aged 75 in Springfield^G on 28 May 1972⁹ and was buried at Manley Cemetery, Nixa, Christian County, Missouri^G.⁸ Velma married second before 1940, Bert Marshall Hunter, son of William Hunter and Frances ___.¹ Bert was born in Taneyville, Taney County, Missouri^G, on 23 June 1894.^1,2,10 Velma and Bert divorced sometime before October 1946 when Bert obtained a license to marry Chloe Bateman. (A record of this marriage has not been found. Velma was Velma Lee Sullivan in the record of her marriage to Virgil Girth.
