Richardine France Sackett, daughter of William Burdette Sackett and Marie Degenhardt, was born in Mendota, LaSalle County, Illinois^G, on 26 March 1895.^1,2 She died aged about 56 in Streator, LaSalle County^G, in 1951 and was buried at Riverview Cemetery, Streator^G.³ She married in Illinois^G in 1914, William Henry Reeser.³ William was born in Mendota^G on 11 July 1895.³ He died aged 84 in Streator^G on 4 October 1979 and was buried at Riverview Cemetery, Streator^G.³
     In 1900 Richardine was living at Ninth Avenue, Mendota, LaSalle County, Illinois^G, in the household of her parents William and Marie, and was recorded in the census as Richard S Sackett, aged five and born in Illinois (she was incorrectly recorded as a son, Richard, instead of as a daughter, Richardine.)⁴
     In 1910 she was living at North 2nd Avenue, Mendota, LaSalle County, Illinois^G, and was recorded as Richardine F Sackett, aged 15 and born in Illinois. She was living with her widowed father William in the household of William's parents, Norman and Olive.⁵
     In 1920 she was living at Eighth Avenue, Mendota, LaSalle County, Illinois^G, in the household of her husband William, 24, a butcher, and was recorded as Richardine Reeser, aged 24. Living with them were their children, Lawrence, 5, Willie, 4, Russell, 2, and Ida, aged one.⁶

William Burdette Sackett, carpenter, son of Norman B Sackett and Olive Vine Ambler, was born in Mendota, LaSalle County, Illinois^G, on 13 November 1874.² He died aged about 86 in 1961 and was buried at River Hills Memorial Park, Batavia, Kane County, Illinois^G.³ He married at LaSalle County, Illinois^G, on 18 November 1894, Marie Degenhardt.³
     In 1880 William was living in Mendota, LaSalle County, Illinois^G, in the household of his parents Norman and Olive, and was recorded in the census as Willie Sackett, aged five and born in Illinois.⁴
     In 1900 William was living at Ninth Avenue, Mendota, LaSalle County, Illinois^G, and was recorded in the census as William Sackett, a painter, head of household, aged 25 and born in Illinois. Living with him were his wife Marie, 23, and their children, Richardine, 5, Bernice, 3, and Gladys, aged eight months.⁵
     In 1910 he was living at North 2nd Avenue, Mendota, LaSalle County, Illinois^G, in the household of his parents Norman and Olive, and was recorded as William B Sackett, a house carpenter, widowed, aged 36 and born in Illinois. Living with him were his children, Richardine, 15, Bernice, 13, and Gladys, aged ten.⁶
     William completed a World War I draft registration card in Aurora on 12 September 1918. He was then aged 43 and was a carpenter, living at 777 Galena, Aurora, Kane County, Illinois^G. His daughter Richardine was his nearest relative.²

Faith Esther "Fay" Stephens, daughter of Harold Rex Stephens and Gladys O Sackett, was born in Aurora, Kane County, Illinois^G, on 21 January 1917.¹ She died aged 81 in Aurora^G on 26 September 1988 and was buried at Riverside Cemetery, Montgomery, Kane County^G.¹ She married about 1934, Marion Wesley Jordan.² Marion was born in Shabbona Grove, DeKalb County, Illinois^G, on 7 January 1913.¹ He died aged 55 in Aurora^G on 1 November 1968 and was buried at Riverside Cemetery^G.¹
