Mary Sackett, daughter of Captain Norman Sackett and Esther Waterman, was born in New York State^G on 18 February 1827.¹ She died on 3 February 1890.¹ She married on 5 December 1850, Dr Henry W Drowne.¹ Henry was born in New York State^G in 1814^2,3 and died aged about 61 in 1875.²
     In 1850 Mary was living in New Lebanon, Columbia County, New York State^G, in the household of her parents Norman and Esther, and was recorded in the census as Mary Sackett, aged 22 and born in New York. Mary's future husband Dr Harry Drown, 36, was also in the household.⁴

Esther Sackett, daughter of Captain Norman Sackett and Esther Waterman, was born in New York State^G on 16 May 1829.^1,2 She died aged 83 in Stephentown, Rensselaer County, New York State^G, in 1912³ and was buried in the Presbyterian Cemetery, Stephentown^G.³ She was unmarried.¹

Norman B Sackett, son of Captain Norman Sackett and Esther Waterman, was born in Columbia County, New York State^G, on 2 October 1831.¹ He died aged 80 in Mendota, LaSalle County, Illinois^G, on 19 October 1911.² He married on 17 February 1855, Olive Vine Ambler.¹

     In 1880 he was living in Mendota, LaSalle County, Illinois^G, and was recorded as Norman Sackett, a farmer, head of household, married, aged 46 and born in New York. Living with him were his wife Olive, 47, and their children, Martha, 12, Esther, 10, and Willie, aged five. There was also a male farm laborer in the household.⁴
     In 1910 he was living at North 2nd Avenue, Mendota^G, and was recorded as Norman B Sackett, living on own income, head of household, age 78 and born in New York. Living with him were his wife Olive, 77, their unmarried daughter Esther, 39, and their widowed son William, 36, with his children, Richardine, 15, Bernice, 13, and Gladys, aged ten.⁵

Saphronia Sackett, daughter of Captain Norman Sackett and Esther Waterman, was born on 6 March 1835.^1,2 She died aged 68 in Stephentown, Rensselaer County, New York State^G, on 30 July 1903^1,2 and was buried in the Presbyterian Cemetery, Stephentown^G.² She was unmarried.¹

Barent E Van Buren, son of Harmon Van Buren and Electa Sackett, was born in New York State^G about 1828.^1,2 He married Mary E ___. Mary was born in New York State^G about 1832.²
     In 1860 Barent was living in Sterling, Whiteside County, Illinois^G, and was recorded in the census as B C Van Buren, a farm laborer, aged 32. Living with him were his wife Mary, 28, and their son Charles, aged three.³
     In 1870 he was living in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois^G, and was recorded as Barent E Vanburen, a carpenter, aged 42. Living with him were his wife Mary, 37, their children John Charles, 14, and Irwin, 2, and Barent's mother Electa, 69.⁴

Erwin Gilbert Sackett, son of Ebenezer Buel Sackett and Emily Taylor, was born in Champion, Jefferson County, New York State^G, on 28 November 1829.^1,2,3 He died aged 89 in Wabash, Wabash County, Indiana^G, on 14 March 1919 and was buried at Falls Cemetery, Wabash^G.^5,6 He married on 28 November 1855, Mary Ellen Clary, daughter of Hiram Clary and Eliza Baker.^1,4 Mary was born in Ohio^G on 21 March 1837.^2,3 She died aged 81 in Wabash^G on 12 January 1919 and was buried at Falls Cemetery, Wabash^G.⁷
     In 1850 Erwin was living in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio^G, in the household of his parents Ebenezer and Emily, and was recorded in the census as Irwin Sackett, a jeweller, aged 21 and born in New York.⁸
     In 1860 he was living in Wabash, Wabash County, Indiana^G, and was recorded as Irwin G Sackett, a silversmith, aged 30. Living with him were his wife Helen [Ellen], 22, and their children, Charles, 3, and Emily, aged six months.⁹
     In 1860, Erwin, listed as E G Sackett, a jeweller, was a member of the Hanna Lodge of Freemasons in Wabash^G.¹⁰
     Erwin registered for the Civil War draft in Wabash County^G in June 1863. He was a silversmith, married, aged 34 and born in New York.¹¹
     In 1870 he was living in Wabash^G and was recorded as E G Sacket, a dentist, aged 39. Living with him were his wife Ellen, 32, and their children, Charles, 14, and Emily, aged ten.¹²
     In 1880 he was living in Wabash^G and was recorded as Erwin G Sackett, a dentist, aged 50. Living with him were his wife Mary E, 43, and their children, Charles, 23, and Emma, 20.¹³
     In 1900 he was living in Noble, Wabash County^G, and was recorded as Edwin [sic] Sackett, a dentist, aged 70. Living with him were his wife Ellen, 63, and their unmarried son Charles, 43.¹⁴
     In 1910 he was living at 81 Hill Street, Wabash^G, and was recorded as Erwin G Sackett, a custodian of club rooms, aged 80. Living with him were his wife Mary, 73, their son Charles, 53, and Mary's niece Grace Clary, 38.¹⁵

Ermina Prudence Sackett, daughter of Ebenezer Buel Sackett and Emily Taylor, was born in New York State^G about 1832.^1,2 She married ___ Roberts.¹
     In 1850 Ermina was living in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio^G, in the household of her parents Ebenezer and Emily, and was recorded in the census as Ermina Sackett, aged 18 and born in New York.³
     In 1870 she was living in Columbus^G in the household of her mother Emily, and was recorded as Enidia? Sackett, aged 35.⁴
     In 1880 she was living in Carthage, Jefferson County, New York State^G, and was recorded as Ermina P Sackett, aged 48, single. She was living with her widowed mother Emily in the household of Emily's sister Lovicy and brother-in-law Suel Gilbert.⁵

Edson P Sackett, son of Erwin Sackett and Lucinda Bacon, was born in Watertown, Jefferson County, New York State^G, on 3 September 1832.^1,2 He died aged 72 in Davenport, Scott County, Iowa^G, on 8 June 1905 and was buried at Oakdale Cemetery, Davenport^G.^4,3 He married in Watertown^G about 1865, Caroline A Pennamon, daughter of Charles B Pennamon and Nancy A ___.³ Caroline was born in New York State^G on 1 January 1835.^2,5 She died aged 75 on 28 March 1910 and was buried at Oakdale Cemetery, Davenport^G.⁴
     Edson and his brother Cyrus were students at the Black River Literary and Religious Institute, Watertown^G, in 1843.⁶
     In 1850 Edson was living in Watertown, Jefferson County, New York State^G, in the household of his parents Erwin and Lucinda, and was recorded in the census as Edson Sackett, a carpenter, aged 17 and born in New York.⁷
     In 1860 he was living at Fort Monroe, Elizabeth City County, Virginia^G, and was recorded as Edson P Sackett, aged 28, a soldier.⁸
     Edson served the Union in the American Civil War. He was a Corporal in Company F, 3rd Regiment, US Artillery (Regular Army). He enlisted as an artificer in Watertown^G in May 1861 for three years and re-enlisted in March 1864. He was granted an invalidity pension on 14 July 1890 and Carrie was granted a widow's pension on 26 June 1905.^9,10,11
     In 1870 he was living in Rock Island, Rock Island County, Illinois^G, and was recorded as Edson Sackett, a carpenter, aged 40. Living with him were his wife Carrie, 36, and their children, Charles, 4, and Cyrus, aged eight months. There was also a female servant in the household.¹²
     In 1880 he was living in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana^G, and was recorded as Edson P Sackett, a carpenter, aged 53 [actually 47]. Living with him were his wife Carrie A, 45, and their children, Charles, 12, and Cyrus, aged ten.¹³
     In 1900 he was living in Davenport, Scott County, Iowa^G, and was recorded as Edson P Sackett, a carpenter, aged 68. He and his wife Carrie, 66, were living in the household of their unmarried son Cyrus.¹⁴
