James Watson Sackett, son of Oliver Sackett and Esther Wing, was born in Greene, Chenango County, New York State^G, on 8 April 1838.¹ He died aged 70 in Thurston County, Washington State^G, on 2 February 1909 and was buried at Odd Fellows Memorial Park, Tumwater, Thurston County^G.^3,4 He married in Forest Home, Antrim County, Michigan^G, on 10 June 1876, Lorinda Estella Badgley, daughter of Stephen J Badgley and Eliza Willis.² Lorinda was born in Michigan^G in January 1860.⁵ She died in Washington State^G in 1913 and was buried at Odd Fellows Memorial Park, Tumwater^G.⁴
     In 1850 James was living in Greene, Chenango County, New York State^G, in the household of his parents Oliver and Esther, and was recorded in the census as Jone W Sackett [sic], aged twelve and born in New York.^6,7
     In 1860 he was living in Greene^G in the household of his parents Oliver and Esther, and was recorded as James Sackett, a farm laborer, aged 23.⁸
     In 1880 he was living in Forest Home, Antrim County, Michigan^G, and was recorded as James Sacket, a farmer, aged 42. Living with him were his wife Lorinda, 20, and their children, Lillie, 2, and Lulu, two months.⁹
     In 1900 he was living in Forest Home^G and was recorded as James W Sackett, a farmer, aged 62. Living with him were his wife Stella, 40, and their children, Earl, 17, and Lena, aged eleven.¹⁰

Jane Harriet Sackett, daughter of Oliver Sackett and Esther Wing, was born in Greene, Chenango County, New York State^G, on 21 May 1846.¹ She died aged 73 in Antrim County, Michigan^G, on 19 April 1920.¹ She married at New York State^G about 1870, George Vandemark.¹

Lulu Iona Sackett, daughter of James Watson Sackett and Lorinda Estella Badgley, was born in Bellaire, Antrim County, Michigan^G, on 24 April 1880.¹ She died in Olympia, Thurston County, Washington State^G, on 18 March 1964 and was buried at Odd Fellows Memorial Park, Tumwater, Thurston County, Washington State^G.¹ She married in Bellevue, Eaton County, Michigan^G, on 24 August 1896, Henry Rohr.¹

Oliver Sackett, miller and stonemason, son of Pliny Sacket and Elisabeth Kellogg, was born in Massachusetts^G on 9 July 1796.^1,2,3 He died in Greene, Chenango County, New York State^G, on 7 February 1870 and was buried at Brisben Baptist Church Cemetery, Chenango County^G.^2,6,7 He married in Greene^G on 3 April 1827, Esther Wing, daughter of Samuel Wing and Esther Bennett.^4,5 Esther was born in New York State^G on 2 May 1807.^1,2 She died aged 80 in Greene^G on 12 June 1887 and was buried at Brisben Baptist Church Cemetery^G.^2,6
     Oliver served as a Private in the New York State Infantry during the War of 1812.^7,8
     Oliver was listed in the 1830 census as a householder in Oxford, Chenango County^G.⁹ In 1840 he was a householder in Greene, Chenango County^G.¹⁰
     In 1850 Oliver was living in Greene^G and was recorded in the census as Oliver Sackett, a mason, aged 54 and born in New York. Living with him were his wife Esther, 43, and their children Samuel, 19, Lydia, 18, Phoebe (listed as O E), 16, Alzina (listed as S E), 14, James (listed as Jone), 12, Rachel, 11, Mary, 8, Charles, 7, Oliver, 6, John, 4, Jane (listed as Jone), 4, and Esther, aged two.¹¹
     In 1860 he was living in Greene^G and was recorded as Oliver Sackett, a farm laborer, aged 64. Living with him were his wife, Esther, 53, and their children, Samuel, 30, James, 23, Rachel, 22, Mary, 19, George [who must surely have been Charles], 17, John, 14, Jane, 14, and Esther, aged twelve.¹²
     In 1880 Oliver's widow Esther was living in Greene^G and was recorded in the census as Esther Sackett, head of household, a widow, aged 74. Her unmarried son John, 33, was living with her.¹³

Oliver Benjamin Sackett, son of Oliver Sackett and Esther Wing, was born in Greene, Chenango County, New York State^G, on 25 May 1844.¹ He died aged 66 in Rapid City, Kalkaska County, Michigan^G, on 22 January 1911.¹ He married first at Elk Rapids, Antrim County, Michigan^G, on 30 April 1874, Matilda Rosemond Anderson.¹ Matilda was born in Canada^G on 30 March 1854. She died aged 32 on 4 May 1886. He married second at Forest Home, Antrim County, Michigan^G, on 24 May 1888, Eva Lycene Ablett.¹ Eva was born in New York State^G in December 1851. She died aged 72 in Wayland, Allegan County, Michigan^G, on 1 November 1924.

Rachel Sackett, daughter of Oliver Sackett and Esther Wing, was born in Greene, Chenango County, New York State^G, on 8 March 1839.¹ She died aged about 65 in 1904² and was buried at Sylvan Lawn Cemetery, Greene, Chenango County, New York State^G.³ She married Almaron Hanes. Almaron was born in 1847.³ He died aged about 78 in 1925 and was buried at Sylvan Lawn Cemetery^G.³

Samuel W Sackett, son of Oliver Sackett and Esther Wing, was born in Greene, Chenango County, New York State^G, on 10 May 1830.¹ He died aged 79 in Dickinson, Broome County, New York State^G, on 8 November 1909.² He married first in Greene^G on 4 July 1861, Julia Frances (Manning) Leonard, widow of Silas Leonard. Julia was born in Rensselaer County, New York State^G, about 1831.¹ She died aged 49 in Lisle, Broome County^G, on 1 October 1880 and was buried at Brisben Baptist Church Cemetery, Brisben, Chenango County^G.⁴ He married second in Greene^G on 19 May 1884, Huldah Utter, daughter of Freeman Utter and Elizabeth ___.³ Huldah was born in New York State^G on 11 July 1846.¹
     In 1850 Samuel was living in Greene^G in the household of his parents Oliver and Esther, and was recorded in the census as Saml Sackett, a farmer, aged 19 and born in New York. He appears also to have been enumerated in the household of Joseph Warner, a farmer.^5,6
     In 1860 he was living in Greene^G in the household of his parents Oliver and Esther, and was recorded as Samuel Sackett, aged 30.⁷
     Samuel registered for the Civil War draft in New York State^G in June 1863. He was a farmer of Greene, married, aged 32 and born in New York State.
     In 1870 he was living in Greene^G and was recorded as Samuel Sackett, a farmer, aged 39. His wife Frances, 39, and her son James Leonard from her previous marriage were living with him.⁸
     In 1875 he was living in Greene^G and was recorded as Samuel Sackett, a farmer, aged 44. Living with him were his wife Julia, 44, and her son James Leonard.⁹
     In 1880 he was living in Lisle, Broome County^G, and was recorded as Samuel Sacket, a farm laborer, aged 47. His wife Julia, 48, was living with him.¹⁰
     In 1892 he was living in Lisle^G and was recorded as Samuel W Sacket, a farmer, aged 62. Living with him were his wife Huldah, 48, and their daughter Rosa, aged five.¹¹
     In 1900 he was living in Lisle^G and was recorded as Samuel Sacket, a day laborer, aged 70. His wife Hulda, 53, was living with him. There was also a male boarder in the household.¹²
     In June 1905 he was living in Willet, Cortland County, New York State^G, and was recorded as Samuell W Sackett, aged 75. He was a boarder in the household of David Utter, presumably a relative of Huldah's.¹³
     Samuel, now a widower, was admitted to the Broome County Almshouse on 4 August 1905.¹⁴

Alice Sarah Sackett, daughter of Oliver Benjamin Sackett and Matilda Rosemond Anderson, was born in Leelanau County, Michigan^G, on 3 October 1876.¹ She died in Traverse City, Grand Traverse County, Michigan^G, on 9 August 1957.¹ She married at Kewadin, Milton Township, Antrim County, Michigan^G, on 29 September 1897, Chester Gilbert Barnes.¹ Chester was born in Myrtle, Ontario, Canada^G, on 29 January 1867. He died in Milton Township^G on 16 April 1951.
     In 1880 Alice was living at Traverse City, Grand Traverse County, Michigan^G, and was recorded in the census as Alace Sackett, aged four and born in Michigan, daughter of Oliver B Sackett.²
