Alzina Thankful Sackett, daughter of Oliver Sackett and Esther Wing, was born in Greene, Chenango County, New York StateG, on 21 February 1836.1 She died aged 70 in Antrim County, MichiganG, on 17 November 1906.1 She married in Chenango CountyG on 1 January 1856, Alva D Greene.1
     In 1850 Alzina was living in Greene, Chenango County, New York StateG, in the household of her parents Oliver and Esther, and was recorded in the census as S E Sackett, aged 14 and born in New York.2,3

Charles W Sackett, son of Oliver Sackett and Esther Wing, was born in Greene, Chenango County, New York StateG, on 15 February 1843.1 He died aged 86 in Oxford, Chenango County, New York StateG, on 4 May 19292 and was buried at Sylvan Lawn Cemetery, GreeneG.1 He married about 1866, Emma J Bailey.3,4 Emma was born in New York StateG on 23 February 1847.5,6 She died aged 46 on 19 September 1893 and was buried at Sylvan Lawn CemeteryG.1
     In 1850 Charles was living in Greene, Chenango County, New York StateG, in the household of his parents Oliver and Esther, and was recorded in the census as Charles Sackett, aged seven and born in New York.7
     In 1860 he was living in GreeneG in the household of his parents Oliver and Esther, and was recorded as George Sackett, a farm laborer, aged 17. (It is assumed from his age and from other records that this was Charles.)8
     Charles served the Union as a Private during the American Civil War. He enlisted in the 179th New York Regiment in Ulysses, Tompkins County, New York StateG, on 27 August 1864 and was discharged in Alexandria, Virginia, on 8 June 1865.9,10,11
     In 1870 he was living in Helena, Antrim County, MichiganG, and was recorded as Chs W Sackett, a farmer, aged 27. Living with him were his wife Emma J, 23, and their daughter A J, aged three.12
     In 1880 he was living in GreeneG and was recorded as Chas Sackett, a laborer, head of household, married, aged 36. Living with him were his wife Emma, 33, and their children, Charles, 8, Ernest, 5, and Willie, aged ten months.13
     In 1910 he was living in Lisle, Broome County, New YorkG, and was recorded as Charles W Sackett, a widower, aged 67. He was a boarder in the household of William Pierce, a farmer.14
     In 1925 he was living in Oxford, Chenango CountyG, and was recorded as Charles Sackett, aged 75 [actually 82]. He was living with his son Victor and daughter Addie.15

     In 1850 Esther was living in GreeneG in the household of her parents Oliver and Esther, and was recorded in the census as Esther Sackett, aged two and born in New York.2
