Gladys May Sackett, daughter of Frederick Charles Sackett and Clarissa Mary Wood, was born in Blean, KentG, on 10 May 1891.1,2,3 She died aged 77 in Hiraethog, Denbighshire, WalesG, on 21 September 1968.4,5 She was unmarried.
     In 1901 Gladys was living at 20 Bath Street, Brighton, SussexG, in the household of her parents Frederick and Clarissa, and was recorded in the census as Gladys M Sackett, aged nine and born in Herne Bay.6
     Gladys attended the Ipswich Municipal Secondary School, Ipswich, SuffolkG, from 8 September 1902, having previously attended the British School in Ipswich. The family were then living at 185 Princes Street. She transferred to the upper school on 4 May 1903 when the family were living at 16 Withipoll Street. She left on 13 May 1904 when the family moved to Bury St Edmunds.7,8
     In 1921 she was living at 24 Egerton Road, Heaton Norris, Stockport, CheshireG, in the household of her father Frederick and stepmother Mary, and was recorded as Gladys M Sackett, a drapers' assistant, aged 30.9
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Gladys was living at 69 Victoria Road, Thornton Cleveleys, LancashireG, where she had a ladies outfitters shop.10

Charles Harold Sackett, son of Frederick Charles Sackett and Mary Wackrill, was born in Bury St Edmunds, SuffolkG, on 9 August 1906.1 He died aged 79 in the Chester & Ellesmere Port registration district, CheshireG, on 26 February 19862 and was cremated at Chester CrematoriumG on 4 March 1986.4,5 He married in St Asaph, DenbighshireG, on 3 October 1931, Jeannie Gerrard Bell, daughter of William Bell and Jane ___.3 Jeannie was born in Kinfauns, Perth, ScotlandG, on 20 May 1903.6,7 She died aged 86 in Maidstone, KentG, on 27 September 1989.8,9

The funeral took place at Chester Crematorium on April 27, of Mr. Ian Frederick Sackett, of 52 Boughton Hall Drive, Chester, who died at Kano, Nigeria, on April 17. The service was conducted by the Rev. Noel W. Pyatt, of St. Paul's Church, Chester.
     Mr. Sackett was 50. He leaves his wife Anne, son Michael and daughter Alison. He enjoyed sport and played with the Chester Nomads, Boughton Hall Cricket Club, Vicars Cross Golf Club and Kano Golf Club, Nigeria. He was a Bank executive.
