     In 1921 she was living at 3 New Paris Street, St Peter Port, GuernseyG, and was recorded as Doris Ada Sackett, aged 15. She was boarding with her father William and sister Catherine in the household of William's sister Laura and brother-in-law Thomas Keyho.7
     Doris emigrated to Australia with her husband Arthur Herauville, his ten-year-old son, and their son Roderick, aged four, sailing from Liverpool on 18 December 1951 bound for Sydney. Their destination in Australia was Ashford, New South Wales.8,9

Catherine Laura Sackett, daughter of William Smith Sackett and Laura Catherine McKenna, was born at 2 St Stephen's Place, St Jacques, St Peter Port, GuernseyG, on 11 January 1907.1 She died aged 97 in Beverley, YorkshireG, on 23 January 2004.2,3 She was unmarried.
     In 1911 Catherine was living at Les Osmonds, St Sampson's, GuernseyG, in the household of her parents William and Laura, and was recorded in the census as Catherine Laura Sackett, aged four and born in St Peter Port.4
     In 1921 she was living at 3 New Paris Street, St Peter PortG, and was recorded as Catharine Laura Sackett, aged 14. She was boarding with her father William and sister Doris in the household of William's sister Laura and brother-in-law Thomas Keyho.5
     Catherine trained as a teacher at Southlands Training College, Battersea, LondonG. She returned briefly to Guernsey, taking her first teaching job there in 1929 before moving in the same year to Hull, Yorkshire, where she taught in a number of girls' schools.6
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Catherine was living at 54 High Street, Goole, YorkshireG. She was a school teacher.7

Catherine's obituary
Sackett.— Catherine (Cath). Of Beverley, in Hull Royal Infirmary on 23rd January 2004 shortly after celebrating her 97th birthday. Friend of many and a dedicated supporter of Girl Guiding, The Red Cross, and many other charities. Service of Thanksgiving will be held after a private cremation on Wednesday 4th February at 10.45 am at Toll Gavel Methodist Church, Beverley."

Mary Emma "Marie" Sutton, daughter of Wilsie John Sutton and Elizabeth Hannah Jones, was born in Nantyglo, MonmouthshireG, on 28 May 1913. She died aged 92 in Guernsey on 17 March 2006. She married first on 21 December 1939, Douglas Sackett, son of Alfred James Sackett and Lydia Hatfield. She married second on 21 September 1977, Jack Evans.

Lillie Sackett, daughter of Jabez Sackett and Sarah Anne "Annie" Young, was born in Waltham, Caistor, LincolnshireG, on 25 January 18741,2,3 and died aged 76 in GuernseyG on 7 January 1951.4 She married in GuernseyG on 4 September 1900, Thomas Arthur Gosselin, son of Thomas George Gosselin and Martha Bond.5 Thomas Arthur was born in St Peter Port, GuernseyG, on 20 October 1872.6 He died aged 78 in GuernseyG on 2 February 1951.7
     In 1881 Lillie was living at North Gate, Walkington, YorkshireG, and was recorded in the census as Lillie Sackett, a scholar, aged seven and born in Waltham, Lincoln, daughter of Jabez Sackett.8
     In 1891 she was living at 43 Paisley Street, Newington, Sculcoates, West Hull, YorkshireG, in the household of her mother Sarah, and was recorded as Lilie Sackett, a dressmaker, aged 17, and born in Waltham, Lincolnshire.9
     In 1901 she was living at 3 Oberland Terrace, St Martin's, GuernseyG, in the household of her husband Thomas, 28, a timber merchant's clerk, and was recorded as Lily Gosselin, aged 27.10
     In 1911 she was living at Horbury Cottage, St Martin's, GuernseyG, in the household of her husband Thomas, 38, manager of a Corn Flour & Timber Merchants & Steam Bakeries business, and was recorded as Lillie Gosselin, aged 37.11
     In 1921 she was living at 5 Belmont Road, St Peter Port, GuernseyG, in the household of her husband Thomas, 48, manager of the Charroterie Steam Flour Mills, and was recorded as Lillie Gosselin, aged 47. Their adopted daughter Mary [later Mollie], aged ten was living with them.12
     Lillie and Arthur (Lillie's husband Thomas Arthur was known as Arthur within the family) remained in Guernsey during the German Occupation. Lillie kept a diary of day-to-day happenings, both dramatic and trivial, leaving a fascinating insight into this upheaval in Island life and how Islanders coped under German rule and its attendant privations.
