Hannah Sackett, daughter of Jeremiah Sackett and Charlotte Lawrence, was born, probably in Thanet, Kent^G, about 1818. She died in childhood and was buried at St Peter in Thanet^G on 14 April 1823.¹

Jeremiah Sackett, son of Jeremiah Sackett and Charlotte Lawrence, was born in Ramsgate, Kent^G, on 22 January 1819¹ and baptized at Ebenezer Independent Chapel, Ramsgate^G, on 4 March 1819.² He died in childhood and was buried at St Peter in Thanet^G on 10 May 1823.³

Edward Lawrence Sackett, tailor and soldier, son of Jeremiah Sackett and Charlotte Lawrence, was born in Ramsgate, Kent^G, in 1822.¹ He was baptized at St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent^G, on 30 September 1827.² He died aged 37 in Thanet^G in 1859³ and was buried at St George's Church, Ramsgate, Kent^G, on 31 January 1859.⁶ He married at St Leonard's Church, Deal, Kent^G, on 12 July 1842, Sarah May, daughter of John May.^4,5
     Edward served in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment, enlisting at Canterbury, Kent^G, on 21 April 1840. He was imprisoned in 1844 for desertion. In 1845, a medical board found him to have been suffering from heart disease from the time of his enlistment and he was discharged as a consequence of his disability.⁷
     In 1841 Edward was living at Shorne Ridgway, Shorne and Merton, Kent^G, in the household of James Norman, a labourer, and his wife Ann, and was recorded in the census as Edward Sackett, aged 20 and born in Kent.⁸
