Hannah Sacket
Father | William Sacket (1700-1755) |
Mother | Hannah Bagg (say 1700-) |
Hannah Sacket, daughter of William Sacket and Hannah Bagg, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 6 July 1725.1,2,3 She died aged 74 on 13 October 1799.1 She married at WestfieldG on 8 May 1750, Jacob Noble.1,4,5
Hannah was named as a beneficiary in her father's will made at WestfieldG on 9 November 1752. She was named as Hannah Noble and was left a farm of about 50 or 60 acres at Munhard River.
Weygant, in The Sacketts of America, identified the wife of Jacob Noble as Hannah Sacket, the daughter of Joseph Sacket and Abigail Bigelow. However the will of William Sacket, in naming his daughter as Hannah Noble, provides evidence that it was his daughter who was the subject of that marriage.

William Sacket
Father | William Sacket (1700-1755) |
Mother | Hannah Bagg (say 1700-) |
William Sacket, son of William Sacket and Hannah Bagg, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 7 September 17301,2,3 and baptized at the Church of Christ, WestfieldG, on 25 April 1731.4 He died aged 71 in WestfieldG on 2 February 1802.1,5,6 He married in WestfieldG on 10 January 1760, Lydia Weller, daughter of Jonathan Weller and Mary Bridgeman.1,5,7,8 Lydia was born in 17399 and died aged 89 in WestfieldG on 17 May 1828.10
William was named as a beneficiary in his father's will made at WestfieldG on 9 November 1752. He was appointed executor and was left the residue of the estate after bequests to his mother and sister.
William Sacket served as a private in the American Revolutionary War.11
In 1790 William was living in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG. In his household were four white males (16+), three white males under 16, one white female, and one other free person.12
William was listed in the 1800 census as a householder in WestfieldG.13
William made his will in WestfieldG on 24 January 1797. His wife Lydia, was to receive, in addition to the "widow's third", all the household furniture, William's black mare with side saddle, a cow, and $50 in cash. He left specified lots of land to his daughters: two lots totalling 51 acres to Molly, and one lot of 64 acres to Lydia. The remainder of his estate was to be divided equally among his sons, William, Moses, Royal, Joel, James, and John. In a codicil dated 25 June 1799, he directed that Royal's share was to be divided equally among Royal's children, perhaps indicating that Royal had been taken ill by that date (Royal died aged 34 a few years later). Probate was granted to William's son James as executor on 2 March 1802.14
