Joseph Sackett, son of Joseph Sackett and ___ ___, was born in ConnecticutG before 1750.1 He married Comfort ___.2
     Joseph served in the American Revolutionary War. On 29 September 1778 he was a soldier in Herrick's Regiment, Vermont Militia. He served in Warren's (15th) Regiment, Vermont Militia, in November 1778 and in January 1779. He went on several alarms in October and November 1780 as a soldier in Ebenezer Allen's Regiment, Vermont Militia, and served in that regiment in May 1781.3,4,5,6,7
     In 1790 Joseph was living in Panton, Addison County, VermontG. In his household were four men, one boy, and four females.8
     Joseph was named as a beneficiary in his father's will made at Stanford, Dutchess CountyG, on 20 May 1795. He was left a sum of £45.9
     Joseph was listed in the census in 1800 and 1810 as a householder in Panton, VermontG.10,11 In 1820 he was a householder in Potsdam, St Lawrence County, New York StateG.12
