Lieut David Sackett, son of Isaac Sacket and Elizabeth Shepard, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 19 August 17431,2,3 and baptized at the Church of Christ, WestfieldG, on 5 February 1744.4 He died in Denmark, Ashtabula County, OhioG, on 6 June 1838.5,6 He married in WestfieldG on 23 April 1773, Lucretia Shepard, daughter of Lieut John Shepard and Elisabeth Sacket.5,7,8,9,10 Lieut David and Lucretia were second cousins once removed.
     In 1790 David was living in Blandford, Hampshire County, MassachusettsG. In his household were one white male (16+), two white males under 16, five white females, and one other free person.11
