Mary Sackett Hogbin, daughter of Richard Hogbin and Hannah Cayley, was born in Ramsgate, KentG, in 18341 and baptized at St George, RamsgateG, on 24 August 1834.2 She died aged 66 in Eastry, KentG, on 28 November 19013 and was buried at Deal Cemetery, Deal, KentG.4 She was also remembered on the memorial of her sister Helen Hudson at Ramsgate CemeteryG.5
     In 1841 Mary was living at Wellington Cottages, RamsgateG, in the household of her parents Richard and Hannah, and was recorded in the census as Mary Hogbin, aged six and born in Kent.6
     In 1851 she was living at 1½ Wellington Cottages, RamsgateG, in the household of her parents Richard and Hannah, and was recorded as Mary S Hogbin, an apprentice dressmaker, aged 16 and born in Ramsgate.7
     In 1861 she was living at 1½ Wellington Cottages, RamsgateG, in the household of her widowed father Richard, and was recorded as Mary Sackett Hogbin, a shop worker, aged 26.8
     In 1871 she was living at 2 Drapers Alms Houses, Margate, KentG, and was recorded as Mary S Hogbin, aged 36. She was a visitor in the household of her aunt Sarah Cayley, 81.9
     In 1881 she was living at 57 Plains of Waterloo, RamsgateG, and was recorded as Mary S Hogbin, a lodging house keeper, aged 46. Her married sister Helen Hudson, 44, also described as a lodging house keeper, was living with her.10
     In 1891 she was living at 3 Luther Villas, St Patrick's Road, Deal, KentG, and was recorded as Mary S Hogbin, aged 56. She was living with her sisters, Hannah Newing, 65, and Helen Hudson, 54.11

Helen Louisa Hogbin, daughter of Richard Hogbin and Hannah Cayley, was born in Ramsgate, KentG, in 18361 and baptized there on 7 August 1836.2 She died aged 72 in Thanet, KentG, in 19093 and was buried at Ramsgate CemeteryG.5,6 She married in Thanet, KentG, in 1861, Charles William Hudson, son of John Hudson and Frances Pankhurst.4 Charles was born in Margate, KentG, on 10 January 1837.7
     In 1841 Helen was living at Wellington Cottages, RamsgateG, in the household of her parents Richard and Hannah, and was recorded in the census as Helen Hogbin, aged four and born in Kent.8
     In 1851 she was living at 1½ Wellington Cottages, RamsgateG, in the household of her parents Richard and Hannah, and was recorded as Helen L Hogbin, aged 14 and born in Ramsgate.9
     In 1861 she was living at 1½ Wellington Cottages, RamsgateG, in the household of her widowed father Richard, and was recorded as Helen L Hogbin, aged 24. Helen's future husband Charles Hudson was also in the household.10
     In 1871 she was living at 21 Alliance Square, RamsgateG, in the household of her widowed father Richard, and was recorded as Helen L Hudson, aged 34. Her husband was not in the household.11
     In 1881 she was living at 57 Plains of Waterloo, RamsgateG, in the household of her unmarried sister Mary S Hogbin, 46, also described as a lodging house keeper, and was recorded as Helen L Hudson, a lodging house keeper, aged 44.12
     In 1891 she was living at 3 Luther Villas, St Patrick's Road, Deal, KentG, and was recorded as Helen L Hudson, aged 54. She was living with her sisters, Hannah Newing, 65, and Mary Hogbin, 56.13

Sudden death.
On Wednesday last, Helen Louisa Hudson, aged 72, of 68, High Street, St Lawrence, was found dead in bed. In July she had a apoplectic stroke and was then attended by Dr Hicks, who on being called in on Wednesday expressed the opinion death was due to natural causes. The case was reported to the Coroner who did not consider an inquest necessary.

Hannah Cayley Hogbin, daughter of Richard Hogbin and Hannah Cayley, was born in KentG about 18251 and baptized at St Lawrence, KentG, on 18 September 1825.2 She died aged 80 in Eastry, KentG, in 1905.3 She married in EastryG in 1882, William Hards Newing.4
     In 1841 Hannah was living at Wellington Cottages, Ramsgate, KentG, in the household of her parents Richard and Hannah, and was recorded in the census as Hannah Hogbin, a dressmaker, aged 15 and born in Kent.5
     In 1851 she was living at Strand, Walmer, KentG, in the household of her uncle Thomas Cayley, and was recorded as Hannah Hogbin, aged 25. Her cousin Emily Hogbin, 18, was also in the household.6
     In 1861 she was living at Strand, WalmerG, in the household of her widowed uncle Thomas Cayley, and was recorded as Hannah C Hogbin, housekeeper, aged 35. Her brother Richard, 31, was also in the household.7
     In 1891 she was living at 3 Luther Villas, St Patrick's Road, Deal, KentG, and was recorded as Hannah C Newing, head of household, aged 65, a widow living on her own means. Also in the household were her unmarried sister Mary Hogbin, 56, and her married sister Helen Hudson, 54.8
     Hannah left a will which was proved in Canterbury, KentG, on 21 November 1905.9
