Harriet Arabella "Hattie" Sackett, daughter of Captain James Joseph Sackett and Harriet Capes, was born in ConnecticutG on 20 March 1843.1,2,3 She died aged 78 in ConnecticutG on 16 March 1922 and was buried at the New Woodland Cemetery, Stamford, Fairfield County, ConnecticutG.5,6 She married at St Luke's Church, Darien, Fairfield County, ConnecticutG, on 14 November 1872, William Henry Orchard.4 William was born in EnglandG on 1 May 1843.2,3 He died aged 73 on 9 October 1916 and was buried at the New Woodland Cemetery, StamfordG.7
     In 1860 Harriet was living in Darien, Fairfield County, ConnecticutG, in the household of her mother Harriet and stepfather John Bell, and was recorded in the census as Harriet A Sacket, aged 20 and born in Connecticut.8
     In 1880 Harriet was living in Darien, Fairfield County, ConnecticutG, in the household of her mother Harriet and stepfather John Bell, and was recorded in the census as Harriet A Orchard, aged 37 and born in Connecticut. Living with her were her husband William, 37, and their children William, 6, and Harriet, aged five.9
     In 1900 she was living at DarienG in the household of her husband William, 57, a glove salesman, and was recorded as Harriet A Orchard, aged 57. Living with them were their unmarried children, William, 26, and Harriet, aged 25.10

     Theodore registered for the World War I draft on 7 September 1918. He was then aged 18 [actually 17; he exaggerated by a year] and was living at 3100 Dover Avenue, ClevelandG, with his parents Mark and Estella. He was employed as a civil engineer.10
     In 1920 he was living at Dover Avenue, ClevelandG, in the household of his mother Estelle, and was recorded as Theodore Sackett, an engineer at an oil company, aged 19.11
     Theodore was listed in the 1921 Cleveland City Directory as a construction engineer. He was living at 3100 Dover Avenue, ClevelandG, with his mother Estelle. In 1922 they were living at 3324 Marvin Avenue, Cleveland. Theodore's occupation was timekeeper.12
     In 1930 he was living at Lauderdale Avenue, Lakewood, Cuyahoga County, OhioG, and was recorded as Theodore M Sackett, a civil engineer, head of household, aged 31. He rented his home. Living with him were his wife Dorothy, 30, and their son Roger, aged two.13

Mark Sackett, railroad engineer, son of Mark Sackett and Jennie Remington, was born in Geneva, Ashtabula County, OhioG, on 11 May 1873.1 He died aged 48 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, OhioG, on 23 February 1922 and was buried at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery, ClevelandG, on 25 February 1922.2 He married at Lorain, OhioG, on 16 October 1895, Estelle Vilera Hamlin, daughter of Lewis Marion Hamlin and Samantha Josephine (?) Moses. Estelle was born in Ridgeville, Warren County, OhioG, on 12 November 1879.3
     Mark was listed in the Cleveland City Directory in 1898 as a conductor.4 He was listed from 1905 onwards as an engineer.5
     In 1910 Mark was living at Kinsman Road, Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, OhioG, and was recorded in the census as Mark Sackett Jr, a steam railroad engineer, head of household, aged 36. He rented his home. Living with him were his wife Estelle, 32, and their sons, Clyde, 13, and Theodore, aged nine.6

Clyde Wallace Sackett, son of Mark Sackett and Estelle Vilera Hamlin, was born in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, OhioG, on 9 September 1896.1,2 He died aged 93 at Dearborn Heights, Wayne County, MichiganG, on 8 December 1989.3,4 He married in Hamilton, Butler County, OhioG, on 1 June 1929, Katherine W Kunze, daughter of Herman Kunze and Marie Nager.5 Katherine was born in GermanyG on 12 February 19016 and died aged 86 in Dearborn, Wayne County, MichiganG, on 18 March 1987.7
     In 1910 Clyde was living at Kinsman Road, Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, OhioG, in the household of his parents Mark and Estelle, and was recorded in the census as Clyde W Sackett, aged 13 and born in Ohio.8
     Clyde served in an Aero Squadron in the US Army during the First World War, enlisting on 15 October 1917 and being released on 28 March 1919.9,10
     In 1920 he was living at Hilgert Drive, ClevelandG, and was recorded as Clyde Sackett, a railroad brakeman, aged 23. He was lodging in rooms with his father Mark.11
     Clyde was listed in the 1921 Cleveland City Directory as an auto worker, living at 5906 Linwood Avenue, ClevelandG. In 1922 he was living with his mother Estelle at 3324 Marvin Avenue, Cleveland.12
     Clyde obtained a seaman's passport at Seattle, Washington StateG, in April 1924. He served as a seaman until at least 1940, his name appearing in crew lists of ships serving the ports of New Orleans and New York.13
     Clyde completed a World War II draft registration card on 27 April 1942. He was then aged 45. He was employed by Vickers Inc. and was living at 14249 Greenview, Detroit, Wayne County, MichiganG.14
     Clyde and Katherine were listed in the Dearborn, Michigan, City Directory from 1948 to 1959. He was an engineer, in 1948 at Seaboard Properties, and by 1953 at Oakwood Hospital. They were living at Chicago Street, DearbornG.15
