Thompson Davidson Sackett, son of David Sackett and Margaret Voyles, was born in Quincy, Schuyler County, IllinoisG, on 13 May 1827.1 He died aged 64 in Whittier, Los Angeles County, CaliforniaG, on 4 May 1892.1 He married about 1846, Rebecca Matilda Evans.2
     In 1870 Thompson was living in Los Nietos, Los Angeles County, CaliforniaG, and was recorded in the census as Thomas D Sackett, a farmer, aged 42 and born in Illinois. Living with him were his wife Rebecca, 42, and their children, William, 15, Emily, 12, Matilda, 10, and Robert, aged six months.3
