Gloria Lee Sackett, daughter of Orville D Sackett and Ruth DeMoss, was born in Filer, Twin Falls County, IdahoG, on 22 December 1934.1 She died aged 83 on 21 July 2018. She married in FilerG on 23 November 1952, Gene R Schiffler.1 Gene was born in NebraskaG on 24 September 1932. He died aged 83 in FilerG on 25 July 2016.2

Gloria Lee Sackett was born on December 22, 1934 to Orville and Ruth (DeMoss) Sackett in Filer, Idaho. She grew up on the family farm west of Filer, attended the old Maroa school and then attended Filer High School where she met Gene Schiffler until graduating in 1952. After graduation, she headed to Boise to attend nursing school before deciding that it wasn’t for her and returned to Filer.
In November of 1952 she married Gene Schiffler in Filer, where they farmed and raised their three children Daniel, Davy, and Gina. After a tragic accident and losing Davy, Gloria and Gene packed up their family and moved to Denver in 1960. In 1962, they moved their family after Gene was transferred to Ogden, Utah where two years later they welcomed their youngest son Kelly. In their early married years, Gloria spent a lot of time on the rodeo trail being a rodeo wife where she met many cherished friends. In 1975, they returned to Twin Falls where they purchased Ranchers Auction and later sold to Twin Falls Livestock Auction.
After retiring from the livestock business, she enjoyed traveling camping, canning, gardening, and spending time with their grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved being a grandma and a great grandma (Grandma Great). Gloria and Gene spent many winters in Arizona where they loved to spend time with the Tinkers making memories. Gloria was a huge collector of clothes, shoes, and jewelry. Gloria was a member of Magic Valley Bible Church in Twin Falls.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gene, parents Orville and Ruth Sackett, brothers Larry and OD Sackett, son Davy Schiffler. She is survived by her children, Daniel (Diane) Schiffler of Jerome, Gina (Steve) Beach of Filer, Kelly (Kally) Schiffler of Jerome. Grandchildren, Colby (Ryan) Fiala of Filer, Sarah (Joe) DePew of Bozeman, MT, Dustin (Leah) Schiffler of Middleton, ID, Zachary (Rosie) Schiffler of Jerome ID, Kala (Jori) Tate, of Bellevue, ID, Shane (Alyssa Kowitz) Beach of Filer, ID, and Stewart (Whitney) Schiffler of Twin Falls. 21 Great Grandchildren and one on the way.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, July 25, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, July 26, at 10:00 A.M. at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Rd. Twin Falls.

Larry Ray Sackett, son of Orville D Sackett and Ruth DeMoss, was born in Filer, Twin Falls County, IdahoG, on 21 February 1932.1 He died aged 79 in Yuma, ArizonaG, on 2 September 2011.1,2 He married at Jerome, Twin Falls County, IdahoG, on 25 March 1949, Dora Jeanne Stutzman, daughter of Elmer C Stutzman and Esther ___.3 Larry and Dora divorced sometime before 4 April 1953 when Dora married second in Nye County, NevadaG, Marvin Henry Pollow.6 Dora and Marvin separated in October of that year and divorced at Twin FallsG on 27 May 1955.6 Larry and Dora married a second time in Elko, NevadaG, on 25 November 1955.4,5 They divorced again at Twin FallsG on 3 July 1959.4 Dora subsequently married Harvey Schlagenhauf. Dora was born in FilerG on 4 December 1931.7 She died aged 69 on 5 January 2001.8 Larry married second in 1960, Pat Pierson.1
Larry was listed among junior class officers in the 1949 Filer High School yearbook as president, second semester.9

Vows Exchanged By Filer Couple
Filer, March 29—Dora Jeanne Stutzman, daughter of Mrs. Esther Stutzman, Filer, and Larry Sackett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Sackett, Filer, exchanged vows at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Jerome. The Rev. William G. Comstock, a retired minister, performed the wedding service.
For the ceremony the bride was attired in an aqua gabardine suit. Both are students at Filer high school.

Larry R. Sackett, 79, formerly of Filer and Twin Falls, passed away Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, in Yuma, Ariz., from a short-term illness.
Larry was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was the first born to Orville and Ruth Sackett in Filer on Feb. 21, 1932. He attended Moroa School through grade school then off to the Filer schools. As a young man, he worked on the family farm. In 1949, he married Dora Jean Stutzman. They had two children. They were later divorced. In 1953, he joined the army and was stationed in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1955. Upon his return home, he returned to the family farm. In 1960, he married Pat Pierson. She had three children, which he raised as his own. Larry and Pat had one daughter.
Larry is survived by his wife, Pat of 51 years, his children, Rex (Sharon) Sackett, Dona (Ed) Fuchs, Doug (Judy) Pollow, Debbie (Mike) Randall, Sande Miller and Lori Schmahl (Randy Lemmons); and five grandchildren, Sara and Joe Randall, Maegan and Ryan Miller, and Jake Schmahl. He is also survived by his siblings, Gloria (Gene) Schiffler, Nancy Montgomery, and O.D. (Barbara) Sackett; and many nieces and nephews.
The family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association, Diabetes Association, Parkinson's Research or the donor's favorite charity.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at Rosenau Funeral Home. Family and friends are encouraged to share their memories at www.rosenaufuneralhome.com.
