Martin Sackett, farmer, son of Martin Sackett of Childerditch and Grace ___, was born in EssexG about 17561 and baptized at Dunton, EssexG, on 17 June 1759.2 He died aged 63 and was buried at St Michael's Church, Aveley, EssexG, on 27 April 1820.5 He married first in Orsett, EssexG, on 13 November 1787, Elizabeth Fletcher, daughter of Joseph Fletcher and Jane Surridge.3 Elizabeth was baptized at OrsettG on 5 April 1761.6 She died aged 27 and was buried at St Peter & St Paul, DagenhamG, on 24 December 1794.7 He married second at St Matthew's Church, Bethnal Green, MiddlesexG, on 29 November 1804, Catharine Sapwith, who is assumed to have been the mother of Martin's daughter Catharine.4
