Fannie Harper Sackett, daughter of William Henry Sackett and Frances Carnley, was born in New York State^G on 14 December 1864¹ and died aged 17 in Morristown, New Jersey^G, on 7 September 1882.^2,3
     In 1880 Fannie was living in Manhattan, New York State^G, with her parents William and Frances in the household of her grandmother Fanny Carnley, and was recorded in the census as Fanny H Sackett, a schoolgirl, aged 16 and born in New York.⁴

Isabel Thompson Sackett, daughter of William Henry Sackett and Frances Carnley, was born in New York State^G on 17 April 1874.²
     In 1880 Isabel was living in Manhattan, New York State^G, with her parents William and Frances in the household of her grandmother Fanny Carnley, and was recorded in the census as Belle Thompson Sackett, a schoolgirl, aged six and born in New York.³

Robert Carnley Sackett, son of William Henry Sackett and Frances Carnley, was born, presumably in New York City^G, on 4 November 1868² and died in infancy on 23 June 1870.²

Betty Pearl Sackett, daughter of John Sackett and Rachel I Mitts, was born in 1880² and died in 1947.² She married ___ Johnston.

John Sackett, son of John Sackett and Sarah Fallover, was born in Barking, Essex^G, on 11 December 1805¹ and baptized at St Margaret, Barking^G, on 19 January 1806.² He died in infancy in Hornchurch^G on 12 September 1806^1,3 and was buried at St Andrew, Hornchurch^G, on 19 September 1806.^1,3

Henry Sackett, son of Thomas Sackett and Rachel Baker, was born about November 1800.¹ He died in childhood in Hornchurch, Essex^G, on 5 August 1809^1,2 and was buried at St Andrew's Church, Hornchurch^G, on 13 August 1809.^1,2

Elizabeth Sackett Kissam, daughter of Dr James Brooks Kissam, was born in August 1839¹ and died in infancy in New York State^G on 28 March 1840.¹ Elizabeth was not a Sackett descendant; her father, James Kissam, was a nephew of Elizabeth Kissam, the wife of Samuel Sackett (1765–1822) of New York.²

James B Sackett, son of Daniel Sackett and Abigail Smith, was born in Pennsylvania^G on 16 January 1829.^2,3
     In 1850 James was living in Jefferson, Ashtabula County, Ohio^G, in the household of his parents Daniel and Abigail, and was recorded in the census as James Sacket, aged 21 and born in Pennsylvania.²

William N(?) Sackett, son of Daniel Sackett and Abigail Smith, was born in Pennsylvania^G on 2 September 1835.^1,2
     In 1850 William was living in Jefferson, Ashtabula County, Ohio^G, in the household of his parents Daniel and Abigail, and was recorded in the census as William Sacket, aged 14 and born in Pennsylvania.¹

Daniel Sackett, son of Captain Benjamin Sackett and Phebe Davis, was born in 1788.¹ He died aged 57 in Troy, Rensselaer County, New York State^G, on 8 April 1845^2,3 and was buried in the Nassau-Schodack Cemetery, Nassau, Rensselaer County^G.⁴ He married Sarah H Pardee.⁴
     Daniel and Sarah moved from Stephentown, Rensselaer County, to Troy, in about 1819. Sarah was granted a dismission from the Stephentown Presbyterian church on 25 September 1819 to join the Presbyterian church in Troy.⁵
     Daniel was listed in the census in 1820, 1830 and 1840 as a householder in Troy^G.^6,7,8
     Daniel made his will in Troy, New York State^G, on 22 November 1841, naming as sole beneficiary his wife Sarah.⁹
     There were two Daniel Sacketts of about the same age found in Rensselaer County records, and there may be confusion between them. This Daniel Sackett, listed amongst Troy's "prominent citizens" in the History of the City of Troy, died there in 1845. He would appear to be the same Daniel Sackett who played a minor role in the publication in 1823 of the poem, "The Night Before Christmas". The authorship of the poem became a matter of some controversy in the 1840s and Daniel's name appears in the records in a letter to Professor Moore (who probably wrote the poem) from Moore's publisher, Norman Tuttle, of the Troy Sentinel, who wrote, "I understand from Mr. Holley [editor of the Sentinel] that he received it from Mrs. Sackett, the wife of Mr. Daniel Sackett who was then a merchant in this city."¹⁰
     The other Daniel Sackett, who married Abigail Smith in 1813, is recorded in The Sacketts of America as the son of Benjamin and Phebe (Davis) Sackett. However, the contesting of this Daniel's will by all the then surviving members of Benjamin and Phebe's family would appear to confirm that it was Daniel Sackett, the merchant of Troy, who was their son.

Amherst Douglas Sackett, son of Calvin Pardee Sackett and Hannah Douglass, was born on 4 November 1808.² He was baptized at the Presbyterian Church, Stephentown, Rensselaer County, New York State^G, on 3 June 1818.³ He died aged 17 in Stephentown^G on 29 September 1825 as a result of injuries sustained when he was kicked by a four-month-old colt—we are indebted to the Stephentown diarist for recording the age of the horse, presumably doing so to absolve such a young animal of blame!—^4,5,6 and was buried in the Presbyterian Cemetery, Stephentown^G, on 1 October 1825.^4,5
