Amelia Sackett, daughter of Solomon Sackett and Mary ___, was born in North Haven, New Haven County, ConnecticutG, about 17721,2,3 and baptized there on 24 July 1774.2,4 She died aged 84 in Sandisfield, Berkshire County, MassachusettsG, on 26 May 1857.2 She married in North HavenG on 9 February 1790, Joel Todd, son of James Todd and Martha Yale.1,2,5,6 Joel was born about 1766.6 He died aged 77 in SandisfieldG on 26 December 1843.6
     In 1850 Amelia was living in SandisfieldG in the household of her son Leverett and family, and was recorded in the census as Amelia Todd, aged 78 and born in Connecticut.7

Samuel Sackett, son of Samuel Sackett and Abigail Blakeslee, was born in North Haven, New Haven County, ConnecticutG, on 2 March 17711,2,3 and baptized at the Congregational Society, North HavenG, on 7 May 1775.3,4,5 He died aged 80 in New York StateG on 27 August 1851.2 He was buried at the Holland Patent Cemetery, Trenton, Oneida County, New York StateG. He married first before 1791, Bethia Pierpont, daughter of Samuel Pierpont and Elizabeth Frost.3,6,7 Bethia was born about 17683,7 and died aged 38 in New HavenG on 19 June 1806.3,7,9 He married second on 13 December 1806, Sally Denison.2,3,8 Sally was born on 11 August 1781. She died aged 71 on 17 May 1853 and was buried at the Holland Patent Cemetery, Trenton, Oneida County, New York StateG.
     Samuel was listed in the census in 1800 and 1810 as a householder in New HavenG.10,11 In 1820 he was a householder in Verona, Oneida County, New York StateG.12 In 1830 and 1840 he was a householder in Trenton, Oneida CountyG.13,14
     In 1850 Samuel was living in Trenton, Oneida County, New York StateG, in the household of his son John and his family, and was recorded in the census as Samuel Sacket, a shoemaker, aged 79 and born in Connecticut. His wife Mary, 69, was living with him.15

Capt Joel Sackett, son of Solomon Sackett and Mary ___, was born in North Haven, New Haven County, ConnecticutG, about 17701 and baptized at the Congregational Society, North HavenG, on 24 July 1774.2,3 He died aged about 30 in Cheshire, New Haven CountyG, in 1800.2,4 He married at the Congregational Society Church, North HavenG, on 6 December 1789, Lydia Todd, daughter of Hezekiah Todd and Lydia Frost.2,1,5 After Joel's death, Lydia married, second, Enos Moss at the Congregational Society, CheshireG, on 26 January 1804.2
     In 1790 Joel was living in North Haven, New Haven County, ConnecticutG. The census record is of a household comprising only one man although Joel had married the previous year. There is no evidence of another Joel Sackett living in North Haven at this time.6
     Joel died intestate. Lydia, his widow, and Caleb Todd were appointed administrators of his personal estate by the Wallingford Probate District Court on 1 October 1800. An inventory valued his estate at $605. His widow and children, Butler and Maria, each received items to the value of one-third of that sum.7
