Burr Russell Sackett, son of Filertus Sackett and Caroline Sophia (O'Rear) Jemison, was born in Kansas City, Jackson County, MissouriG, on 3 April 1882.1,2,3 He died aged 80 in St Petersburg, Pinellas County, FloridaG, on 13 July 1962.4,5,6 He married first about 1905, Bertha ___.1 Bertha was born in KansasG about 1883.1 He married second in Dubuque County, IowaG, on 3 February 1915, Ruth Helena Hunter, daughter of Peter Hunter and Mary Malone.7 Ruth was born in Kansas CityG about 1893.2 He married third before 1930, Cornelia Muriel Gridley, daughter of Charles E Gridley and Cynthia A Mote.8 Cornelia was born in MichiganG on 14 February 1876.1,9,10 She died aged 91 on 15 April 1967.9,10,11
     In 1900 Burr was living at Main Street, Butler, Bates County, MissouriG, in the household of his widowed mother Caroline, and was recorded in the census as Burr R Sackett, aged 17 and born in Missouri.12
     In 1910 he was living at Moffet Avenue, St Louis, MissouriG, and was recorded as Burr Sackett, manager at a machine company, head of household, aged 28. His wife Bertha, 27, was living with him.13
     Burr completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was aged 36 and was a salesman at the Free Sewing Machine Company. He was living at 3700 Harrison, Chicago, Cook County, IllinoisG, with his wife Ruth.14
     In 1920 he was living at Euclid Street, St Louis, MissouriG, and was recorded as Burr Sackette, a sewing machine salesman, head of household, aged 37. His wife Ruth, 24, was living with him.15
     In 1930 he was living at West Fern, Tampa, Hillsborough County, FloridaG, and was recorded as Burr R Sackett, a salesman, head of household, aged 48. His wife Muriel, listed as Meryl, 45 [actually 54], was living with him.16
     In 1950 he was living at 4406 Nebrock Avenue, Tampa, Hillsborough County, FloridaG, and was recorded as Burr R Sackett, a wholesale sewing machine salesman, head of household, aged 67. His wife Muriel, 73, was living with him.17

Burr R. Sackett, 80, formerly of Kansas City, died yesterday at the Masonic home in St. Petersburg, Fla. He was born in Butler, Mo., and lived here about 30 years. Mr. Sackett had lived in Florida 30 years. He was a retired sewing machine salesman. He was a member of the Shrine. His wife Mrs. Muriel Sackett of the Masonic home survives. Services will be held at 3 o'clock today in St. Petersburg; burial in Tampa, Fla.

Halie Elizabeth Sackett, daughter of Filertus F "Lete" Sackett and Belle Ross, was born in MissouriG on 4 November 1891.1 She died aged 77 in Kansas CityG on 24 August 1969.2 She married in Kansas City, Jackson County, MissouriG, on 26 November 1919, Lucius Lynne Cowles, son of Lucius Cowles and Elizabeth J ___.3 Lucius Lynne was born in St Mary's, KansasG, on 31 July 18944,5 and died aged 78 in Kansas CityG on 9 March 1973.6,7

Harry Dyer Sackett, son of Harry Martin Sackett and Nancy B Dyer, was born in Kansas City, Jackson County, MissouriG, on 26 January 1916.1,2 He died aged 88 in Gainesville, Alachua County, FloridaG, on 6 May 20043,4 and was buried at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Ocala, Marion County, FloridaG.7 He married in Jackson County, MissouriG, on 9 March 1940, Mary Louise Wampler, daughter of William E Wampler and Claudia A Crage.5,6 Mary was born in Warrensburg, Johnson County, MissouriG, on 1 January 1920.8 She died aged 91 on 2 March 2011 and was buried at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, OcalaG.7,9
     In 1920 Harry was living at Holmes Street, Kansas CityG, in the household of his parents Harry and Nancy, and was recorded in the census as Harry Sackett Jr, aged three and born in Missouri.10
     In 1930 he was living in Kansas CityG in the household of his parents Harry and Nancy, and was recorded as Harry D Sackett, aged 14.11
     Harry was listed in the 1933 and 1934 Kansas City Directories. He was living with his parents Harry and Nancy.12
     Harry completed a World War II draft registration card on 16 October 1940. He was aged 24 and was employed by the Calvin Company. He was living in Kansas CityG with his wife Mary.13
     In 1940 he was living at Troost Avenue, Kansas City, Jackson County, MissouriG, and was recorded as Harry D Sackett, a film laboratory technician in a motion picture film processing company, head of household, aged 24. His wife Mary, 20, a stenographer in a radio sales agency, was living with him.14
     Harry served in the US Navy as a cinematographer in Washington, DC, during the Second World War. He enlisted on 14 December 1942 and was released on 21 July 1945.15,16
     Harry and Mary were listed in the Johnson County, Missouri, Directory from 1958 to 1963. Harry was employed by various companies as a photographer.17

Harry D. Sackett, age 88, of Gainesville, FL, died on May 6, 2004, in the North Florida Rehab. and Specialty Care Center, Gainesville. He was the husband of Mary L. (Wampler) Sackett for 64 years. Born in Kansas City, MO, he was the son of the late Harry M. and Nancy (Dyer) Sackett. He was a graduate of Paseo High School and was a member of Swope Park Masonic Lodge #617 and was an Elder of the Linwood United Presbyterian Church. He served in the U.S. Navy as a cinematographer in Washington, D.C., during World War II. He was a Life Member of the Johnson County Chapter #34 of the Disabled American Veterans, holding all the Kansas State offices including State Commander. Harry was a member of the American Federation of Musicians for over 60 years. He owned a photographic company, Sackett Color Productions. He and his wife, Mary, moved to Gainesville, FL, one year ago from Shawnee Mission, KS. Along with his wife, Mary, he is survived by sons, Gary of High Springs, FL, and Larry of Williston, FL and daughter, Carol Sackett of San Franciso, CA. He is also survived by one grandson, six granddaughters, and two great-grandsons. A Funeral Service of Remembrance was held on Monday, May 10, 2004, at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Ocala, FL, with the Reverend Benson Cain of the Faith Presbyterian Church, Gainesville, FL, followed by interment in the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Ocala, FL.

Buell Arthur Sackett, son of Harry Edward Sackett and Lena Bryce, was born in Winters, Yolo County, CaliforniaG, on 12 March 1915.1 He died aged 79 in Yolo County, CaliforniaG, on 28 February 19952,3,4,5 and was buried at Winters CemeteryG.7 He married in 1946, Theresa Olivia Gonzales.6 Theresa was born about 1921.8,9 She died aged 103 in Yuba City, Sutter County, CaliforniaG, on 25 July 2024.10
     In 1920 Buell was living at Union Street, Alameda, Alameda County, CaliforniaG, in the household of his parents Harry and Lena, and was recorded in the census as Buel A Sackett, aged four and born in California.11
     In 1930 he was living at 407 North East Street, WintersG, in the household of his parents Harry and Lena, and was recorded as Buel A Sackett, aged 14.12
     In 1940 he was living in WintersG in the household of his parents Harry and Lena, and was recorded as Buel Sackett, a farm cultivator, aged 25.13
     Buell completed a World War II draft registration card on 16 October 1940. He was aged 25 and was self-employed. He was living in WintersG. His mother Lena was next of kin.14
     Buel served in the US Army during the Second World War, enlisting in Sacramento, Sacramento County, CaliforniaG, on 13 October 1941 and being discharged in the rank of Sergeant on 25 October 1945.5,15,16
     In 1950 he was living at Pleasant Valley Road, Vacaville, Solano County, CaliforniaG, and was recorded as Buell A Sackett, a fruit ranch foreman, aged 35. His wife Theresa, 28, was living with him. Buell's uncle Louis Sackett was living next door.17
