Ansel Lloyd Sackett Jr, son of Ansel Lloyd Sackett Sr and Evelyn Hickey, was born in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan^G, on 17 May 1919.^1,2 He died aged 78 in Franklin, Oakland County, Michigan^G, on 7 April 1998^3,4,5 and was buried at Franklin Cemetery^G.² He married in Dearborn, Wayne County^G, on 18 March 1944, Harriet Mary Lockman, daughter of Milton Lockman and Ida Baumann.⁶ Harriet was born in Detroit^G on 3 June 1922.^2,7 She died aged 76 in Franklin^G on 30 December 1998^8,9 and was buried at Franklin Cemetery^G.²
     In 1920 Ansel was living in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan^G, in the household of his parents Ansel and Evelyn, and was recorded in the census as Ansel L Sackett Jr, aged seven months and born in Michigan.¹⁰
     In 1930 he was living at North Martindale Avenue, Detroit^G, in the household of his parents Ansel and Evelyn, and was recorded as Ansel L Sackett Jr, aged ten.¹¹
     Ansel completed a World War II draft registration card on 16 October 1940. He was aged 21 and was employed by Auto Pulse Corporation. He was living at 9270 North Martindale, Detroit^G, and his father Ansel Sr was next of kin.¹²
     Ansel was listed in the Dearborn City Directory from 1946 to 1958. He was employed by Cadillac Motors.¹³
     Ansel was granted membership of the Michigan Society of the National Society Sons of the American Revolution on 25 May 1948, recognising his descent from Revolutionary War soldier John Sackett (1747–1805.)¹⁴

     In 1930 he was living at North Martindale Avenue, Detroit^G, and was recorded as Ansel L Sackett, an installer of furnaces, head of household, aged 42 [53]. He owned his home. Living with him were his wife Evelyn, 32 [43], and their son Ansel Jr, aged ten. Ansel's and Evelyn's ages were understated by eleven years, an enumeration error where their ages at marriage were mistaken for their ages at the census date.³

Benjamin F Sackett, son of Chauncey Sackett and Susan Kennedy, was born in Branch County, Michigan^G, about 1840.^1,2
     In 1850 Benjamin was living in Batavia, Branch County, Michigan^G, in the household of his father Chauncey and stepmother Samantha, and was recorded in the census as Benjamin Sackett, aged ten and born in Michigan.³

Charles Sackett, son of Ezekiel Sackett and Elizabeth Woodward, was born in Jersey, Steuben County, New York State^G, on 10 September 1809. He died aged 50 in Redford, Wayne County, Michigan^G, on 14 March 1860 and was buried at Bell Branch Cemetery, Redford^G.¹ He married in New York State^G about 1828, Eliza Ann DeGraw. She was born in New York State^G on 28 December 1808. She died in Redford^G on 1 October 1895 and was buried at Bell Branch Cemetery^G.
     Charles was listed in the 1830 census as a householder in Jersey, Steuben County^G.² In 1840 he was a householder in Redford, Michigan^G.³
     In 1850 Charles was living in Redford, Michigan^G, and was recorded in the census as Charles Sackett, a farmer, aged 40 and born in New York. Living with him were his wife Eliza Ann, 41, and their children, Emily, 20, Betsey, 17, Ezekiel, 14, Diantha, 12, Martin, 10, Lucinda, 8, Eveline, 6, William, 4, and Rachel, aged three.⁴
     In 1880 Charles's widow Eliza was living in Detroit, Michigan^G, in the household of her son Ezekiel and daughter-in-law Ines, and was recorded in the census as Eliza Sachit, aged 72 and born in New York.⁵
