Orlinda Sackett, daughter of Rolin Sackett and Lovina Edson, was born in Hampshire County, Massachusetts^G, about 1811.¹ She died in Crawford County, Pennsylvania^G, on 30 June 1879.² She married in Pennsylvania^G about 1837, John Fox. John was born in Pennsylvania^G about 1814.¹
     In 1860 Orlinda was living in Meadville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania^G, in the household of her husband John, 46, a farm laborer, and was recorded in the census as Orlinda Fox, aged 48 and born in Massachusetts. Living with them were their children, Hiram, 22, William, 19, and Corodon, aged eleven.³
     In 1870 she was living in Mead, Crawford County^G, in the household of her husband John, 56, a farm laborer, and was recorded as Arlinda Fox, aged 59. Their son Corodon, 21, was living with them.⁴

Ruth Sackett, daughter of Samuel Frisby Sacket and Josephine Barnett, was born in Missouri^G in May 1876.¹
     In 1880 Ruth was living in Kahoka, Clark County, Missouri^G, in the household of her parents Samuel and Josephine, and was recorded in the census as Ruth Sacket, aged four and born in Missouri.²
     In 1900 she was living in Marion, Kansas^G, in the household of her parents Samuel and Josephine, and was recorded as Ruth Sacket, a dry goods clerk, aged 24.³

Ursula Sackett, daughter of Rolin Sackett and Lovina Edson, was born in Hampshire County, Massachusetts^G, in 1809.¹ She died aged about 93 in Crawford County, Pennsylvania^G, on 28 February 1903² and was buried at Wayland Cemetery, East Mead Township, Crawford County^G.² She married about 1830, Samuel Gilman Chase.²
     In 1850 Ursula was living in Mead, Crawford County^G, in the household of her husband Samuel G Chase, 45, a farmer, and was recorded in the census as Ursula Chase, aged 40 and born in Massachusetts. Living with them were their children, Jabez, 19, William, 17, Martha, 15, Newell, 14, and Almina, aged five.³

Dr Wilbur Edson Sackett, son of Edson Sylvester Sackett and Fidelia Goodrich, was born in Pennsylvania^G on 29 June 1856.¹ He died aged 78 in Meadville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania^G, on 20 January 1935 and was buried at Blooming Valley Cemetery, Meadville^G.¹ He married Cora D Stull, daughter of Edward B Stull and Clara S Shorts. Cora was born in 1866.¹ She died aged about 84 in 1950 and was buried at Blooming Valley Cemetery^G.¹
     In 1860 Wilbur was living in Meadville^G in the household of his parents Edson and Fidelia, and was recorded in the census as Wilbur Sacket, aged three and born in Pennsylvania.²
     In 1870 he was living in Meadville^G in the household of his parents Edson and Fidelia, and was recorded as Wilbur Sacket, aged 13.³
     In 1880 he was living in Meadville^G in the household of his parents Edson and Fidelia, and was recorded as Wilber Sackitt, a farmer, aged 23.⁴
     In 1910 he was living at Euclid Avenue, Saegertown, Crawford County^G, and was recorded as Wilber E Sackett, a dentist, aged 53. Living with him were his wife Cora, 43, and their children, Edson, 15, and twins Angie and Alice, aged twelve.⁵

Zavan J Sackett, son of Rolin Sackett and Pamelia (___) Chamberlin, was born in Cattaraugus County, New York State^G, about 1834.¹ He died aged about 45 in Forestville, Chautauqua County, New York State^G, in 1879 and was buried at Pioneer Cemetery, Forestville^G.^3,4 He married about 1870, Alice ___.² Alice was born in Canada^G in March 1847.⁵ After Zavan's death she married second Patrick M Shelley in about 1885.⁵ Alice died aged 71 in Sheridan, Chautauqua County^G, on 26 June 1917^6,7 and was buried at Forestville Cemetery^G.³
     In 1850 Zavan was living in Mead Township, Crawford County, Pennsylvania^G, in the household of his parents Rowland and Parmilia, and was recorded in the census as Zavan Sackett, aged 16 and born in New York.⁸
     Zavan served the Union as a soldier in the 49th New York Regiment throughout most of the Civil War from 1861 to 1865. A note on his file reads, "served time out in all battles, discharged 13 Dec 65." He enlisted as a Sergeant at Forestville^G on 9 August 1861, was reduced in rank to Wagoner on 17 September 1864, and was mustered out in Washington, DC, on 27 June 1865. According to his widow's pension application, Zavan had served as a teamster.^4,9,10 Following discharge he lived in Forestville, Chautauqua County, New York State^G.⁹
     In 1870 he was living in Forestville^G and was recorded as Zavan J Sackett, a harness maker, aged 36. His wife Alice, 25, was living with him.¹¹
     In 1875 he was living in Forestville^G and was recorded as Zavan Sackett, a harness maker, aged 40. Living with him was Aurilla Sackett, 33, perhaps a second wife or partner but otherwise not identified. Zavan's wife Alice and daughter Tyrella have not been found in the 1875 census, nor is Aurilla Sackett found in other records. A possible explanation could be that the entry was the result of the enumerator mistakenly copying a scribbled note for Alice and Tyrella as Aurilla.¹²
     Zavan's widow Alice applied for a Civil War widow's pension on 19 May 1879. A reference to their daughter Alice, known as Alice Shelley, was added in 1886.¹³
     In 1880 Zavan's widow Alice was living at 93 E Main, Fredonia, Chautauqua County, New York State^G, and was recorded in the census as Alace Sackett, a widow, aged 33. Their daughter Tyrella, aged eight was living with her.¹⁴
     Zavan died intestate. Letters of administration of his estate were granted by the Surrogate's Court, Mayville, Chautauqua County, New York State^G, on 4 June 1881 to his widow Alice Sackett and Samuel P Williams.¹⁵
     In 1890 Alice was listed in the US Census Veterans Schedules as Alice Shelley formerly widow of Zavin J Sackett. She was living in Sheridan, Chautauqua County^G.¹⁶
     In 1892 Alice, aged 47, was living in Sheridan^G with her second husband Patrick H Shelley. Her daughter Tyrella Sackett, 20, was living with them.¹⁷
     Alice evidently maintained a relationship with some of Zavan's Sackett family, his brother Edson's twin granddaughters, Angie and Alice, journeying from Saegertown, Pennsylvania, to attend her funeral in Forestville.
