Walter Orland Sackett, son of George Steven Sackett and Phoebe Levisa Potter, was born in Martin County, MinnesotaG, on 6 February 1888.1 He died aged 38 in Rochester, Olmsted County, MinnesotaG, on 2 June 19262,1 and was buried at Evergreen Cemetery, Mantorville, Dodge County, MinnesotaG. He married in Dodge CountyG on 6 October 1915, Louise Marie Burzlaff, daughter of William F Burzlaff and Marie ___.1,3 Louise was born in Clinton, Clinton County, IowaG, on 9 December 1893.3 She died in RochesterG on 13 March 19593 and was buried at Evergreen Cemetery, MantorvilleG.
     In 1900 Walter was living in Cherry GroveG in the household of his parents George and Phoebe, and was recorded in the census as Walter O Sackett, aged twelve and born in Minnesota.4
     In 1910 he was living in Concord, Dodge County, MinnesotaG, in the household of his brother Edward, and was recorded as Walter Sacket, a farm laborer, aged 22 and born in Minnesota.5
     Walter completed a World War I draft registration card on 5 June 1917. He was married, aged 29, and was living in Mantorville, Dodge CountyG. He was a self-employed farmer.6

    "Walter Orland Sackett was born in Martin Co., Minnesota, February 6, 1889 and passed away at the Colonial hospital at Rochester on June 2, 1926 aged 38 years, 3 months and 26 days, the immediate cause of his death being pneumonia following an operation for appendicitis. He was the son of George and Phoebe Sackett and came to Dodge County with his parents when a boy. He was united in marriage to Louise Burzlaff on October 6, 1915 and has since lived in Dodge county on a farm. Four children were born to this union; William Walter 7, Robert George 5, Herbert Roy 3, and Harley Alfred age 5 weeks. He leaves to mourn his loss, his widow, four sons, mother, three brothers and five sisters. His father preceded him in death last January. ... Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery at Mantorville."

    Funeral Monday For Mrs. Sackett
    Louise Marie Burzlaff was born in Clinton, Ia., December 9, 1893, to William F. and Marie Burzlaff. Soon afer this they moved to Rock Island County, Ill. And in 1902, the family returned to Iowa, locating in Sac County, where Miss Burzlaff attended the public schools. In 1910, at the age of 17 she came, with her family, to this county to make their home. On October 6, 1915, she was united in marriage with Walter Orland Sackett. The couple set up on a farm home. To this union were born four sons: William, Dodge Center; Robert, Laramie, Wyo., Herbert, Kasson; and Haley, Claremont. On June 2, 1926, her husband passed away, leaving her and a family of small children to care for. Early in life, Louise Sackett became a Christian. On May 9, 1940, after her boys joined, she also united with the Dodge Center Methodist Church and has continued a faithful and loyal member to the present. She loved not only her grandchildren, but all children. For many years she was teacher in the primary department of the Sunday school. ... Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Mantorville. ..."

William Frank "Willie" Sackett, son of Elton Sackett and Nellie Sofia Birch, was born in Winnebago, Faribault County, MinnesotaG, on 22 April 1890.1 He died aged 58 in Faribault CountyG on 9 May 19482 and was buried at Nashville Cemetery, Truman, Martin County, MinnesotaG.4 He married at Minnesota Lake, Faribault CountyG, on 2 August 1908, Eunice Annabelle "Annie" Ellisen.3 Eunice was born in MinnesotaG on 17 July 1891.4 She died aged 77 in Stanislaus County, CaliforniaG, on 24 November 19685,6 and was buried at Nashville Cemetery, Truman, Martin County, MinnesotaG.4
     In 1900 William was living in Shelby, Blue Earth County, MinnesotaG, in the household of his parents Elton and Nellie, and was recorded in the census as Willie Q Sacket, aged ten and born in Minnesota.7
     In 1910 he was living in Nashville, Martin County, MinnesotaG, and was recorded as William F Sackett, a tiler, head of household, aged 19. Living with him were his wife Annabelle, 18, their son Bernard, aged nine months, and William's brother Clarence, 13.8
     Willie completed a World War I draft registration card on 5 June 1917. He was then aged 27 and was a self-employed farmer. He was living at R#3, Detroit, Becker County, MinnesotaG, with his wife and three children.1
     In 1920 he was living at Cleveland Street, WinnebagoG, and was recorded as Willie Sackett, a farm laborer, head of household, aged 29. He rented his home. Living with him were his wife Annie, 28, and their children, Bernie, 10, Fenton, 6, and Glee, aged five.9
     In 1930 he was living at Blue Earth Avenue, WinnebagoG, and was recorded as Willie F Sackett, a road laborer, head of household, aged 39. He rented his home. Living with him were his wife Annabelle, 38, and their children, Bernie, 20, Fenton, 17, Glee, 15, Lee, 8, and Valo, aged ten months.10
     William completed a World War II draft registration card in 1942. He was aged 52 and was living in WinnebagoG with his wife Eunice.11
