Mary Jeanette Clara Sackett, daughter of John Edward Sackett and Agnes Burnside, was born in Greenwich, London^G, on 20 August 1895¹ and baptized at Greenwich Christ Church^G on 18 September 1895.² She died aged about 82 in Ogwr, Glamorgan, Wales^G, in 1978.³ She married in Pontypridd, Glamorgan, Wales^G, in December 1917, Henry C Searle.^4,5
     Mary attended the Randall Place School, Greenwich, London^G, from 3 June 1901, having previously attended the Old Woolwich Road school. The family were living at 4 Haddo Street.⁶
     In 1911 Mary was living at 97 Gelli Court, Pentre, Rhondda, Glamorgan, Wales^G, in the household of her parents John and Agnes, and was recorded in the census as Mary Sackett, aged 15 and born in Greenwich.⁷

John Fegen Sackett, son of John Edward Sackett and Agnes Burnside, was born in Greenwich, London^G, on 16 November 1902^1,2 and baptized at Greenwich Christ Church^G on 18 June 1903.³ He died aged 56 in Pontypridd, Glamorgan, Wales^G, in 1958.⁴ He married at Pontypridd^G in December 1924, Eunice Davies.^5,6 Eunice was born on 17 May 1905.⁷ She died aged 88 in Pontypridd^G in June 1993.⁸

Alfred Thomas Sackett, boatman, son of Alfred Sackett and Eliza Crideford, was born in Teignmouth, Devon^G, on 16 October 1866.^1,2 He died aged 81 at The Hospital, Teignmouth, Devon^G, on 24 January 1948.^3,4 He married first in Newton Abbot^G in 1889, Elizabeth Arthur.^5,6 She was born in Truro, Cornwall^G, about 1861⁹ and died aged 57 at home in Mayor's Avenue, Dartmouth, Devon^G, on 3 December 1919.^10,4 He married second in Newton Abbot^G in 1921, Sarah Ann Hammacott.^7,8 She was born on 23 May 1866² and died aged 85 at 8 Ferndale Road, Teignmouth^G, on 14 February 1953.^11,4

     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Alfred and Sarah were living at 1A Lower Brook Street, Teignmouth, Devon^G. Alfred was a retired boatman.²⁰

Arthur Thomas Sackett, son of Alfred Thomas Sackett and Elizabeth Arthur, was born in Teignmouth, Devon^G, on 9 May 1890.^1,2,3 He died aged about 81 in Newton Abbot, Devon^G, in 1971.⁴ He married in Kingsbridge, Devon^G, in 1911, Grace Langworthy.⁵ Grace was born in Kingsbridge^G on 17 October 1885^6,3 and died aged 89 in Newton Abbot^G in 1975.⁷
