Cassius A Sackett, son of Oramel E Sackett and Jane ___, was born in New York State^G in January 1836.¹ He died aged about 83 in 1919 and was buried at Eastside Cemetery, Afton, Chenango County, New York State^G.³ He married first about 1857, Hannah ___.² Hannah was born in New York State^G about 1839.¹ Cassius married second before 1880, Lottie ___.¹ Lottie was born in Pennsylvania^G about 1839.¹ He married third about 1886, Cora A Hunt, daughter of Lucius Hunt and Clarissa Landere.¹ Cora was born in New York State^G in July 1861.¹ After Cassius's death, Cora married second in Afton^G on 20 November 1920 Theodore E Hendrickson.⁴ She died aged 82 in Afton^G on 12 May 1944⁵ and was buried at Eastside Cemetery, Afton^G.³
     In 1850 Cassius was living in Otego, Otsego County, New York State^G, in the household of his parents Oramel and Jane, and was recorded in the census as Casius Sackett, aged 14 and born in New York.⁶
     Cassius was enumerated twice in the 1860 census. In the first record, taken on 30 June 1860, he was living with his wife and daughter in Unadillo; in the second, on 2 Aug 1860, he was with his parents in Afton, presumably on a visit.
     In 1860 he was living in Unadillo, Otsego County, New York State^G, and was recorded as C A Sackett, a jeweller, aged 24. Living with him were his wife Hannah, 21, and their daughter Carrie, aged two.⁷
     In 1860 he was living in Afton, Chenango County, New York State^G, in the household of his parents Oramel and Jane, and was recorded as Cassius Sacket, a jeweller, aged 24 and born in New York.⁸
     Cassius and Hannah moved to New Milford, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G, by June 1863 when he registered for the Civil War draft.⁹
     In 1870 he was living in New Milford, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G, and was recorded as C A Sackett, a dentist, aged 34. Living with him were his wife Hannah, 31, and their children, Carrie, 12, Frank, 9, Ellie, 7, and Hattie, aged five.¹⁰
     In 1880 he was living in Chester, Middlesex County, Connecticut^G, and was recorded as C A Sackett, a dentist, head of household, aged 44. Living with him were his second wife, Lottie, aged 40, his children, Carrie, 21, Frank, 19, Nelly, 16, and Hattie, aged 15, and Lottie's children from her first marriage.¹¹
     In 1900 he was living in Afton^G and was recorded as Cassius A Sackett, a dentist, head of household. He owned his home owned free of mortgage. His third wife, Cora, 38, was living with him.¹²
     In 1910 he was living at Spring Street, Afton^G, and was recorded as Cassius A, a dentist, head of household, aged 74. His wife Cora, 48, was living with him.¹³

Asa John Morris, son of John Morris and Avis Catharine "Katie" Perrin, was born in St Johns, Clinton County, Michigan^G, on 8 March 1880.^1,2,3 He died aged 86 in Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan^G, in September 1966.⁴ He married first in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan^G, on 25 December 1900, Jennie F Kimball, daughter of Herbert Kimball and Alice Rose.⁵ Jennie was born in Big Rapids, Mecosta County, Michigan^G, about 1883. He married second in Lansing, Ingham County^G, on 24 May 1918, Bertha (Ellsworth) Crocker, daughter of Legrand Ellsworth and Martha Sowers.⁶ Bertha was born in Macon, Lenawee County, Michigan^G, about 1882.³ He married third Esther V Daniels, daughter of William D Daniels.¹ Esther was born in Michigan^G about 1893.¹
     In 1900 Asa was living in Bingham, Clinton County, Michigan^G, in the household of his parents John and Avis, and was recorded in the census as Asa J Morris, single, aged 20 and born in Michigan.⁷
     In 1910 he was living in Victor, Clinton County, Michigan^G, and was recorded as Asa Morris, a farmer, head of household, aged 30 and born in Michigan. He owned his home on a mortgage. Living with him were his wife Jennie, 25, and their children, Kathryn, 7, Kenneth, 5, and Gertrude, aged eleven months.⁸
     Asa completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was then aged 38 and was living at 809 East Michigan Avenue, Lansing^G, with his wife Bertha. He was a self-employed horseman.²
     In 1920 he was living in New Haven, Gratiot County, Michigan^G, and was recorded as Asa J Morris, a self-employed farmer, head of household, aged 38 and born in Michigan. He owned his home free of mortgage. Living with him was his wife Bertha, 37.⁹
     In 1940 he was living in Fulton, Gratiot County^G, and was recorded as Asa J Morris, a farmer, aged 60 and born in Michigan. Living with him were his wife Esther, 47, and her father William D Daniels, 79.¹
     Asa completed a World War II draft registration card on 27 April 1942. He was then aged 62 and was living at Farm #2, Ithaca, Gratiot County^G, with his wife Ester. He was a self-employed farmer.¹⁰

Chester Ottman Sackett, son of Eugene Sackett and Mary E ___, was born in New York State^G on 6 April 1885.¹ He married about 1905, Jennie E ___.² Jennie was born in New York State^G about 1875.²
     In 1900 Chester was living in Afton^G in the household of his parents Eugene and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Chester O Sackett, at school, aged 15 and born in New York.³
     In 1910 he was living at Orchard Avenue, Afton^G, and was recorded as Chester O Sackett, a mail carrier, head of household, aged 25 and born in New York. He rented his home. Living with him were his wife Jennie, 35, and their daughters, Alvretta, 3, and Zillah, aged one year eleven months. Also in the household was a boarder, Harry Carr, who was later to marry Chester's sister Florence.⁴
     Chester completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was then aged 33 and was a self-employed blacksmith, living with his wife Jennie in Afton^G.¹
     In 1920 he was living at Sand Street, Afton^G, and was recorded as Chester Sackett, a laborer in a chemical plant, head of household, aged 34 and born in New York. He rented his home. Living with him were his wife Jennie, 45, and their children, Alvretta, 13, Zillah, 11, and Leslie, aged nine.⁵

Alice Katherine Morris, known as Kathryn, daughter of Asa John Morris and Jennie F Kimball, was born in St Johns, Clinton County, Michigan^G, on 20 October 1902.¹ She married first ___ Piper. They were divorced in 1919 or 1920. She married second in Charlotte City, Eaton County, Michigan^G, on 26 August 1922, Claire D Sitts, an automobile mechanic, son of William H Sitts and Cornelia R Hanes.² Claire was born in Leslie, Ingham County, Michigan^G, about 1900.⁴ She married third in Steuben County, Indiana^G, on 23 February 1950, Patrick Mitchell, a photographer, son of Irvin Mitchell and Dora Goodrich.³ Patrick was born in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky^G, on 17 March 1906.
