Julia Catherine Cook Sackett, daughter of Edward Cook and Mary Catherine Sackett, was born in Northwood, St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, on 1 September 1845^1,2 and baptized at St Peter in Thanet^G on 12 October 1845.³ She died aged 78 at home at 3 Gloucester Road, New Malden, Surrey^G, on 9 January 1924.^4,5 She married first at Ebenezer Chapel, Ramsgate^G, on 29 March 1866, Charles Giles, son of Daniel Giles.^6,7,8 Charles was born in 1842.¹¹ She married second in Bromley, Kent^G, in 1902, John Jeremiah William Sackett, second cousin, son of Samuel Sackett and Elizabeth Ann Watts.^9,10
     In 1851 Julia was living with her mother Mary in the Hamlet of Northwood, St Peter's, Thanet, Kent^G, in the household of her grandparents Vincent and Mary Sackett, and was recorded in the census as Julia Sackett, a scholar, aged five and born in St Peter's.¹²
     In 1861 she was living at Northwood, St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent^G, in the household of her stepfather George Taylor and mother Mary, and was recorded as Julia C Sackett, aged 15, and born in St Peter's.¹³
     In 1901 she was living at 43/45 Homedale Road, Bromley, Kent^G, and was recorded as Julia Catherine Giles, a beer and wine housekeeper (off licence), an employer, head of household, a widow, aged 54 and born in Ramsgate. Living with her were her son Vincent, 19, and daughter Amy, 17, who were both working in the beer-house.¹⁴
     In 1911 she was living at 243 Hollydale Road, Peckham, London^G, and was recorded as Julia Catherine Sackett, head of household, aged 65 and born in Northwood, Thanet, Kent. Living with her was her unmarried daughter Amy Giles, 27.¹⁵
     In 1921 she was living at 3 Gloster Road, New Malden, Surrey^G, and was recorded as Julia Catherine Sackett, a widow, head of household, aged 75. Her unmarried daughter Amy Giles, 38, was living with her.¹⁶
     Julia left a will which was proved on 2 February 1924 by her daughter Amy. Her estate was valued at £325.¹⁷

Rosa Edith Sackett, daughter of Barzillai Sackett and Sarah Walker Harlow, was born in Thanet, Kent^G, in 1866.¹ She died there in infancy in 1867^2,3 and was buried at St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent^G, on 18 August 1867.³

Vincent Andrew Sackett, farmer of Acol, Kent, son of Barzillai Sackett and Sarah Walker Harlow, was born in Thanet, Kent^G, in 1868.¹ He was baptized at St George's Church, Ramsgate, Kent^G, on 23 February 1868.² He died aged 64 in Thanet^G in 1932.³ He married in East Ashford, Kent^G, in 1893, Florence Annie Bull.^4,5 She was born in Hornsey, Middlesex^G, about 1868.⁶ She died aged 42 in Thanet^G,7 and was buried at Birchington, Kent^G, on 1 September 1910.^8,9

Arthur Henry Sackett, farmer of Northdown, St John in Thanet, Kent, son of Barzillai Sackett and Sarah Walker Harlow, was born in St Peter in Thanet^G in 1869¹ and baptized at St George's Church, Ramsgate, Kent^G, on 27 September 1869.² He died aged about 56 in 1925.³ He was unmarried.
     In 1871 Arthur was living at 4 Northwood Lane, St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent^G, and was recorded in the census as Arthur H Sackett, aged 1 and born in St Lawrence, son of Barzilla Sackett.⁴
     In 1881 he was living at 1 Northwood, St Lawrence in Thanet^G, and was recorded as Arthur H Sackett, a scholar aged 11 and born in St Lawrence, son of Barzilla Sackett.⁵
     In 1891 he was living at Chilton Farm, St Lawrence, Ramsgate, Kent^G, and was recorded as Arthur Sackett, a farmer, head of household, single, aged 21. His sister Rosie, 18, was also living at the farm as the housekeeper.⁶
     In 1901 he was living at East Northdown Farm, Northdown, St Johns, Margate, Kent^G, and was recorded as Arthur Sackett, unmarried, a farmer's son, aged 32 and born in Ramsgate, Kent, the son of Barzillai Sackett.⁷
     In 1911 he was living at East Northdown, Margate, Kent^G, in the household of his parents Barzillai and Sarah, and was recorded as Arthur Sackett, a farmer, single, aged 40 and born in St Peter's.⁸
     In 1921 he was living at 1 St Helen's Park Road, Hastings, Sussex^G, in the household of his widowed sister Florence Willett, and was recorded as Arthur Sackett, a retired farmer, single, aged 52.⁹
     The circumstances of Arthur's death were somewhat mysterious. He was last seen on 22 April 1925 when he left his house at Rancorn Road, Margate, to go for an evening walk on the cliffs. No body was ever found and he was declared legally dead a year later when the matter of his estate came before the probate court. Arthur had inherited £20,000 in 1918 from his father.¹⁰
     Administration of Arthur's estate was granted on 6 July 1926 to his sister Rosie, her husband Ernest Pottinger and their son Eric Quested. The estate was valued at £10,398.¹¹

Rosa Ellen "Rosie" Sackett, daughter of Barzillai Sackett and Sarah Walker Harlow, was born in St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, on 8 September 1872^1,2,3 and baptized at St George's Church, Ramsgate, Kent^G, on 13 May 1873.⁴ She died aged 82 at home in North Down, Malver Road, Ashford, Kent^G, on 19 June 1955.^5,6 She married at St Paul, Herne Hill, London^G, on 24 July 1894, Ernest Leslie Pottinger Quested, son of George Quested and Rebecca ___.^7,8,9 Ernest was born in Westgate-on-Sea, Kent^G, in 1872² and baptized at Minster, Kent^G, on 26 September 1872.¹⁰ He died aged 65 at home at 29 Approach Road, Margate, Kent^G, on 27 June 1938.^11,6
     In 1881 Rosa was living at 1 Northwood, St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent^G, and was recorded in the census as Rose E Sackett, a scholar aged eight and born in St Lawrence, daughter of Barzilla Sackett.¹²
     In 1891 she was living at Chilton Farm, St Lawrence, Ramsgate, Kent^G, in the household of her brother Arthur, 21, a farmer, and was recorded as Rosie Sackett, housekeeper, aged 18.¹³
     In 1901 she was living at 7 Garfield Road, Westbrook, Margate, Kent^G, in the household of her husband Ernest Quested, 28, a clerk, and was recorded as Rosie Quested, aged 28 and born at Northwood. Living with them were their sons, Eric, 5, and Herbert, aged five months. There was one female domestic servant in the household.¹⁴
     In 1911 she was living at Hillside Villa, 15 Approach Road, Margate, Kent^G, in the household of her husband Ernest Quested, 38, of private means, and was recorded as Rosie Quested, aged 38 and born in St Peter's. Living with them were their sons, Eric, 15, and Herbert, aged ten. There was one female domestic servant in the household.¹⁵
     Rosie proved her mother Sarah's will on 6 January 1923. Her estate was valued at £697.¹⁶
     Rosie, her husband Ernest, and their son Eric were granted administration in London^G on 6 July 1926 of Rosie's brother Arthur Henry Sackett's estate, valued at £10,398.¹⁷
     Rosie (and her sons Eric and Herbert) proved her husband Ernest's will on 16 August 1938. His estate was valued at £9,368.¹⁸
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Rosie was living at 59 Magazine Road, Ashford^G, with her sisters Emily and Florence. They each understated their age in the Register, Rosie and Emily by four years and Florence by five years.¹⁹
     Rosie left a will which was proved on 14 September 1955 by her sons Eric and Herbert. Her estate was valued at £3,720.²⁰

Florence Edith Sackett, daughter of Barzillai Sackett and Sarah Walker Harlow, was born in Thanet, Kent^G, on 15 February 1874^1,2 and baptized at St George's Church, Ramsgate, Kent^G, on 5 May 1874.³ She died aged 90 in 1964. She married at St John in Thanet, Kent^G, on 4 January 1899, Frederick William Willett.^4,5
     In 1881 Florence was living at 1 Northwood, St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent^G, and was recorded in the census as Florence E Sackett, a scholar aged 7 and born in St Lawrence, daughter of Barzilla Sackett.⁶
