     In 1911 she was living at 243 Hollydale Road, Peckham, London^G, in the household of her mother Julia, and was recorded as Amy May Gertrude Giles, a cashier in a drapery, single, aged 27 and born in Bromley.⁴
     In 1921 she was living at 3 Gloster Road, New Malden, Surrey^G, in the household of her widowed mother Julia, and was recorded as Amy May Gertrude Giles, aged 38, single.⁵
     Amy proved her mother Julia's will on 2 February 1924. Her estate was valued at £325.⁶
