Theron Sackett, son of Joel Sackett and Elizabeth "Betsey" Husted, was born in Dutchess County, New York StateG, on 14 August 1799.1,2 He died aged 82 in Hanover, Chautauqua CountyG, on 12 December 18811 and was buried at Balltown Cemetery, Balltown, Chautauqua County, New York StateG.2,6,7 He married first in New York StateG on 17 December 1825, Jerusha Smith, daughter of Charles Smith and Matilda ___.1,3 Jerusha was born on 15 May 1804.2 She died aged 21 on 14 May 1826 and was buried at Lyon Family Burial Ground, Clinton Corners, Dutchess County, New York StateG.2 He married second in Cornwall, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, on 16 December 1828, Flora Blake, daughter of James Blake and Dorcas Buel.1,4 Flora was born in Litchfield, Litchfield CountyG, on 20 November 1807.2,8 She died aged 43 on 18 March 1851 and was buried at Balltown CemeteryG.2 He married third before 1855, Catherine Hiller.1,5 Catherine was born in New York StateG about 1808.5
     Theron was listed in the 1830 census as a householder in Stanford, Dutchess County, New York StateG.9 In 1840 he was a householder in Hanover, Chautauqua County, New York StateG.10
     In 1850 Theron was living in HanoverG and was recorded in the census as T Sackett, a farmer, aged 50 and born in New York. Living with him were his wife Flora, 41, and their children, Norman, 20, Irwin [Irving], 15, Julia, 9, Ann, 5, and Harriet, aged two.11
     In 1860 he was living in HanoverG and was recorded as Theron Sackett, a farmer, aged 59. Living with him were his wife Catharine, 52, and his children by his previous marriage, Irving, 25, Julia, 19, Ann, 15, and Harriet, aged twelve. Theron's farm, comprising 140 acres of improved land and 40 acres unimproved, was valued at $6,000. Livestock, including two horses, four milch cows, ten other cattle, 26 sheep, and eight swine, was valued at $500. The farm produced 100 bushels of wheat, 50 bushels of Indian corn, 100 bushels of oats, and 112 lbs of wool in the year.12,13
     In 1870 he was living in HanoverG and was recorded as Theron Sackett, a farmer, aged 70. Living with him were his daughters, Julia, 28, and Hattie, 22.14
     In 1880 he was living in HanoverG and was recorded as Theron Sacket, a farmer, a widower, aged 70. Living with him were his daughters, Julia, 39, and Hattie, 30, both disabled.15

Living with him were his wife Millicent, 63, their son George, 31, and daughter-in-law Catherine, 23, with their children, Nellie, 4, and Howard, aged nine months, and Hiram and Millicent's son Fred, aged 20.11

Minerva Sackett, daughter of Captain Isaac Sackett and Betsey ___, was born in Stanford, Dutchess County, New York StateG, on 11 January 1813.1 She married in Amenia, Dutchess CountyG, on 21 January 1830, Colvill Case.1,2 Colvill was born about 1805.3
     In 1850 Minerva was living in Chenango, Broome County, New York StateG, in the household of her husband Covil Case, 44, a farmer, and was recorded in the census as Minerva Case, aged 37 and born in New York. Living with them were their children, Girard, 16, George, 14, Elizabeth, 12, and Sacket, aged seven.4
