Isaac Sackett, farmer, son of Benjamin Sacket and Dorothy Buell, was born in Sheffield, Berkshire County, MassachusettsG, on 25 October 1773.1,2 He died aged 80 in Colchester, Chittenden County, VermontG, on 8 March 1854 and was buried at Munsons Cemetery, ColchesterG.3,4 He married first in New Lebanon, Columbia County, New York StateG, on 26 December 1799, Polly Hammond.1,5 Polly was born in 1780.1 She died aged 36 in Colchester, Chittenden County, VermontG, on 22 April 1817 and was buried at Munsons Cemetery, ColchesterG.6 He married second in ColchesterG on 20 April 1818, Silence (Ames) Washburn, daughter of Ebenezer Ames and Jane Howard, and widow of Zenas Washburn.7 Silence was born in Bridgewater, Plymouth County, MassachusettsG, on 14 June 1770.1,8,9,10 She died aged 95 in ColchesterG on 13 April 1865.1,11
     Isaac was listed in the 1800 census as a householder in Canaan, Columbia County, New York StateG.12 He was taxed on real and personal estate in CanaanG in 1801 and 1802.13
     Isaac served as a Private in the Vermont Militia in the War of 1812.14
     Isaac was listed in the census in 1820, 1830, and 1840 as a householder in Colchester, Chittenden County, VermontG.15,16,17
     In 1850 Isaac was living in ColchesterG and was recorded in the census as Isaac Sacket, a farmer, aged 77. His wife Silence, 80, was living with him.18
     Isaac made his will in ColchesterG on 14 May 1851. He left his homestead and surrounding land and an annual income of $50 to his wife Silence. The rest of his estate was to be divided equally among his five children, Mary, David, Patty, Joshua, and Nancy.19
     In 1860 Isaac's widow Silence, aged 90, was living in ColchesterG in the household of her stepdaughter Mary Brownell.20
