Rose was born in Allegheny, Allegheny CountyG, on 6 December 1906.6,7 She died aged 85 in PittsburghG on 6 February 1992.8,9
     In 1920 Charles was living at 5601 Wickliff Street, PittsburghG, in the household of his parents Joseph and Elizabeth, and was recorded in the census as Charles Sockett, aged twelve.10
     In 1930 he was living at 5120 51st Street, PittsburghG, in the household of his parents Joseph and Elizabeth, and was recorded as Charles Sackett, a laborer in a machine department, aged 23.11
     In 1940 he was living at Frankstown Road, Penn, Allegheny CountyG, and was recorded as Charles Sackett, a silk spotter in a dry cleaning business, aged 33. Living with him were his wife Rose, 33, and their son Charles Jr, aged six.12
     Charles completed a World War II draft registration card on 16 October 1940. He was aged 33 and was employed by Oswald Werner & Sons, cleaners and dyers. He was living at Frankstown Road, Wilkinsburg, Allegheny CountyG, with his wife Rose Marie.13
     In 1950 he was living at 12400 Frankstown Road, PennG, and was recorded as Charles Sackett Sr, a spotter in a cleaning establishment, aged 43. Living with him were his wife Rose, 42, their son Charles Jr, 16, and Rose's parents, Bernard and Mary Bell.14

Joseph Swockitt/Sockett was born in Suwalki, PolandG, on 19 March 1870.1,2 He died aged 66 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, PennsylvaniaG, on 27 December 1936.3 He married about 1903, Elizabeth Kaminsky.1 Elizabeth was born in LithuaniaG about 1877.4,1 She died aged about 63 in Shaler, Allegheny CountyG, on 9 May 1940 and was buried at St Mary's Cemetery, Allegheny CountyG.5
     In 1920 Joseph was living at 5601 Wickliff Street, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, PennsylvaniaG, and was recorded in the census as Joseph Sockett, a laborer in a gear mill, aged 49 and born in Poland. Living with him were his wife Elizabeth, 43, and their children, Frances, 15, Stephen, 13, Charles, 12, Helen, 10, Frank, 7, and Anna, aged five. There were also two male boarders in the household.6
     In 1930 he was living at 5120 51st Street, PittsburghG, and was recorded as Joseph Sackett, a laborer in a steel company, aged 60. Living with him were his wife Elizabeth, 53, their unmarried children, Charles, 23, Helen, 20, Francis, 19, and Annie, 17, and a granddaughter Charlotte Sackett, aged one.7
     In 1940 Joseph's widow Elizabeth was living at Evergreen Avenue, Shaler, Allegheny CountyG, in the household of their daughter Frances and son-in-law John Capinkes, and was recorded in the census as Elizabeth Sockett, a widow aged 65.8
