     In 1900 Guy was living at Jackson Street, Brazil, Clay County, Indiana^G, in the household of his parents William and Laura. He was wrongly recorded in the census as a daughter May Brill, aged eleven. The stated birth date, August 1888, matches Guy's birth date in other records.⁵
     In 1910 he was living in Posey, Clay County, Indiana^G, in the household of his parents William and Laura, and was recorded as Guy R Brill, a stenographer in the Government land office, aged 21.⁶

     In 1930 he was living at Jackson Street, Sidney, Cheyenne County, Nebraska^G, and was recorded as Guy R Brill, a reporter in the district court, head of household, aged 41. Living with him were his wife Leah, 40, and their daughter Mary Adele, aged 13.⁹
