     Ralph completed a World War II draft registration card on 16 February 1942. He was aged 42 and was employed by the Hunter Packing Company in East St Louis. He was living at 1407 Nectar Avenue, East St LouisG, with his wife Christine.19
     In 1950 he was living in Williamsville, Sangamon County, IllinoisG, and was recorded as Ralph Sackett, a buyer at the Hunter Packing Company, aged 50. His wife Christine, 50, was living with him.20

Ralph Sackett
     Ralph E. Sackett, 74, of 9940 Lincoln Trail, Fairview Heights, died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was a livestock buyer for the Hunter Packing Co., East St. Louis, for 40 years before his retirement.
     Surviving are his widow, the former Christine MacLean; two sons, Robert E. and Edward R. Sackett, both of Fairview Heights; six grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
     Mr. Sackett was a Marine Corps veteran of World War I.
     The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from the Kassly Colonial Mortuary, Fairview Heights, to Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Saturday.

Christine Sackett
     Christine Sackett, nee MacLean, 87, of Fairview Heights, died Saturday, May 3, 1986 at Belleville Nursing Center in Belleville.
     She was a member of Senior Citizens of Caseyville Township.
     Preceding her in death were her husband, Ralph E. Sackett on November 29, 1973; her parents, Charles and Annie, nee MacLean, MacLean and three brothers, James, John and Neal MacLean.
     Surviving are two sons, Raymond E. Sackett of Lima, OH and Edward R. Sackett of Fairview Heights; a sister, Katherine Stuart of Prince Edward Island, Canada; six grandchildren, Mrs. Roger (Janet) Mattea of Collinsville, Jeffrey Sackett of Houma, LA, Mrs. Joan Adams of Fairview Heights, Jon Sackett of Fairview Heights, Mrs. Norman (Susan) Reagan of Edwardsville and Mrs. George (Patricia) Sharos of Belleville; seven great grandchildren; our dear aunt and cousin.
     Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Kassly Colonial Chapel in Fairview Heights with Rev. David E. Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
     Friends may call after 3 p.m. Monday at the Kassly Colonial Mortuary in Fairview Heights.
