Martha L Sackett, daughter of William F Sackett and Adelaide Peck, was born in Sheffield, Berkshire County, Massachusetts^G, on 18 December 1875.¹ She married in Sheffield^G on 7 November 1894, Dewey Haywood, a clerk, son of Orrin Haywood and Emeline Fellows.² Dewey was born in Hillsdale, Columbia County, New York State^G, about 1870.

Dorothy A Sackett, adopted daughter of William F Sackett and Emma Jane Pinney, was born in Connecticut^G in about May 1908. She was William's granddaughter, but her parents have not been identified.¹

Richard Irving Bownes/Sackett, son of Robert Frank Bownes and Annie M Sackett, was born in Sheffield, Berkshire County, Massachusetts^G, on 29 November 1917.¹ He was adopted by his grandfather William F Sackett and William's second wife Emma, becoming known as Irving Richard Sackett.
     In 1920 Richard was living at School Street, Sheffield, Berkshire County, Massachusetts^G, in the household of his grandparents William and Emma, and was recorded in the census as Richard Irving Bownes, aged two years two months.²

     In 1910 he was living at Factory Street, Salisbury, Litchfield County^G, and was recorded as Marvin Sackett, a laborer, head of household, aged 65. He owned his home on a mortgage. Living with him were his wife Maria, 64, and their unmarried daughter Stella, 24.⁸
     In 1920 Marvin's widow Maria was living at Factory Street, Salisbury, Litchfield County^G, and was recorded in the census as Maria Sackett, head of household, a widow, aged 74. Living with her was her unmarried daughter Estella, 34.⁹

Estella C Sackett, daughter of Marvin H Sackett and Maria C ___, was born in Connecticut^G in November 1886.
     In 1900 Estella was living in Salisbury, Litchfield County, Connecticut^G, in the household of her parents Marvin and Maria, and was recorded in the census as Estella C Sackett, aged 13 and born in Connecticut.¹
     In 1910 she was living at Factory Street, Salisbury, Litchfield County^G, in the household of her parents Marvin and Maria, and was recorded as Stella C Sackett, single, aged 24.²

Chester A Sackett was born in Connecticut^G in April 1885. His parents have not been identified. He was a grandson of Marvin H Sackett.

     Arthur was listed in the New Haven City Directory from 1891 to 1930. He was a railroad worker for about 40 years.⁶

John D Sackett, railroad worker, son of Norman A Sackett and Julia A Jenkins, was born in Ohio^G in 1851.¹ He died aged about 41 in 1892 and was buried at Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven, Connecticut^G.¹

     In 1870 he was living in Avon, Hartford County^G, in the household of his parents Norman and Julia, and was recorded as John D Sacket, aged 18.³
     John was listed in the New Haven City Directory from 1874 when he was a railroad brakeman. He was a railroad conductor by 1891.⁴

Leslie Goodrich Chase, son of Jabez Chase and Sarah L Goodrich, was born in Meadville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania^G, on 29 June 1856.^1,2 He died aged 71 in Warren, Pennsylvania^G, on 4 March 1928² and was buried at Jerusalem Corners Cemetery, Pleasantville, Venango County, Pennsylvania^G.¹ He married Julia Howard.²

Warren Jasper Chase, son of Leslie Goodrich Chase and Julia Howard, was born in Pennsylvania^G in 1875.¹ He died in 1939 and was buried at Jerusalem Corners Cemetery, Pleasantville, Venango County, Pennsylvania^G.¹ He married Bell Leona Engle. Bell was born in 1877.¹ She died aged about 33 in 1910.

Lotta Mae Chase, daughter of Warren Jasper Chase and Bell Leona Engle, was born in Pennsylvania^G about 1906.¹ Lotta was put up for adoption by her father, Warren Jasper Chase, after the death of her mother, Belle Leona Engle, in Pennsylvania in 1910. Her adopted family's father worked in the oil industry, and they moved to Oklahoma to work in the rapidly expanding oil industry. Her name was changed to Gretta Charlotte Sorrell. She never lost touch with her real family, and knew her brothers and sisters, and her father, but probably had a better life with her adopted family due to economic circumstances.²
