     In 1880 she was living in Bloomfield, Hartford County^G, in the household of her parents Edward and Mary, and was recorded as Mary Sackett, aged 31.⁸

Frederick A Sackett, son of Edward Sackett and Mary Charlotte Janes, was born in Cabotville, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, about 1843.^1,2 He died aged 89 in Andover, Tolland County, Connecticut^G, on 27 July 1932. He was buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut^G.² He married in Webster, Worcester County, Massachusetts^G, on 2 June 1875, Jane M Chase, daughter of Elisha Chase and Emeline ___.³ Jane was born in Holden, Worcester County, Massachusetts^G, about 1847.⁴
     In 1850 Frederick was living in South Hadley, Hampshire County, Massachusetts^G, in the household of his parents Edward and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Fredrick Sacket, aged 1 [actually about 7] and born in Massachusetts.⁵
     In 1860 he was living in Hartford, Connecticut^G, in the household of his parents Edward and Mary, and was recorded as Frederick Sacket, a clerk, aged 17.⁶
     In 1870 he was living in Hartford^G in the household of his parents Edward and Mary, and was recorded as Frederick A Sackett, a merchant, aged 26.⁷
     In 1880 he was living in Bloomfield, Hartford County, Connecticut^G, in the household of his parents Edward and Mary, and was recorded as Frederick Sackett, aged 35.⁸
     Frederick was elected town clerk of Andover, Tolland County, Connecticut^G, in October 1889. He was town clerk there, listed as a Democrat, in October 1891 when the town voted to remain "no license", thus supporting the temperance movement by continuing to ban the sale of alcohol.^9,10

     In 1860 Edward/Arthur was living in Hartford, Connecticut^G, in the household of his parents Edward and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Arthur Sacket, aged six and born in Connecticut.¹
     In 1870 he was living in Hartford^G in the household of his parents Edward and Mary, and was recorded as Edward A Sackett, aged 16.²
     In 1880 he was living at Bloomfield, Hartford County^G, in the household of his parents Edward and Mary, and was recorded as Arthur Sacket, aged 26.³

Emma J Sackett, daughter of Edward Sackett and Mary Charlotte Janes, was born in Connecticut^G on 10 May 1861.^1,2 She died aged 82 on 22 January 1944 and was buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford^G.³ She married about 1893, Franklin W Griswold.¹ Franklin was born in Connecticut^G in May 1868.¹
     In 1870 Emma was living in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut^G, in the household of her parents Edward and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Elaly J Sackett, aged eight and born in Connecticut.⁴
     In 1880 she was living in Bloomfield, Hartford County^G, in the household of her parents Edward and Mary, and was recorded as Emma Sacket, aged 18.⁵
     In 1900 she was living in West Hartford, Hartford County^G, in the household of her husband Franklin, 32, a brass molder, and was recorded as Emily J Griswold, aged 38. Living with them were Franklin's son, also Franklin, aged 9, and Emily's widowed mother Mary C Sackett, 82.⁶

William N Sackett was born in Massachusetts^G about 1842.^1,2 His parents have not been identified. He died aged 37 in Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut^G, on 15 April 1879³ and was buried at Elm Grove Cemetery, Windsor^G.⁴ He married Margaret Shaw, daughter of Alexander Shaw and Jane ___. Margaret was born in New York State^G in November 1848.² She died aged 79 in Windsor^G on 19 June 1928 and was buried at Elm Grove Cemetery, Windsor^G.⁵
     In 1850 William was living in Marlborough, Hartford County^G, in the household of Syvester and Lucy Dunham, and was recorded in the census as William Sacket, aged eight and born in Massachusetts. [This is a tentative identification. Further research is needed to find a link to the Dunhams.]⁶
     William served in the American Civil War, enlisting on 10 September 1861 in the 10th Regiment Connecticut Volunteers. He was promoted to Sergeant in the Veteran Reserve Corps in 1865.⁷
     In 1870 he was living in Windsor^G and was recorded as William Sackett, a machinist, aged 28 and born in Massachusetts. He was living with his wife Margaret, 21, in the household of Margaret's parents, Alexander and Jane Shaw. A Wm N Sackett, a gun shop worker, aged 28 and born in Massachusetts, was also recorded in the census, living apparently as a lodger with other gun shop workers in the household of Albert A Vining, also a gun shop worker, in Hamden, New Haven County. This would appear to be the same William Sackett, suggesting that he was working away from home in the gun factory.^8,9
     In 1880 William's widow Margaret was living in Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut^G, and was recorded in the census as Margret Sackett, aged 31 and born in New York. Living with her were her children, Cora, 9, and Edgar, aged five.¹⁰
     In 1900 she was living in Windsor^G and was recorded as Margaret Sackett, head of household, a widow, aged 51. She owned her home free of mortgage. Living with her was her son Edgar, 25.¹¹

Cora S Sackett, daughter of William N Sackett and Margaret Shaw, was born in Connecticut^G about 1870.¹ She married in Poquonock, Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut^G, on 5 February 1896, Arthur Saegaert.²
     In 1880 Cora was living in Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut^G, in the household of her widowed mother Margaret, and was recorded in the census as Corra L Sacket, at school, aged nine and born in Connecticut.³

Edgar William Sackett, son of William N Sackett and Margaret Shaw, was born in Connecticut^G on 5 February 1875.^1,2 He died aged 71 in 1946 and was buried at Elm Grove Cemetery, Windsor^G.³ He married in Poquonock, Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut^G, on 5 February 1902, Elizabeth Jane Taylor.¹ Elizabeth was born in 1879. She died aged about 76 in Windsor^G in 1955 and was buried at Elm Grove Cemetery, Windsor^G.³
     In 1880 Edgar was living in Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut^G, in the household of his widowed mother Margaret, and was recorded in the census as Edgar W Sacket, at school, aged five and born in Connecticut.⁴
     In 1900 he was living in Windsor^G in the household of his widowed mother Margaret, and was recorded as Edgar W Sackett, a farm laborer, aged 25.⁵
     Edgar completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was then aged 43 and was a butcher living in Windsor^G with his wife Elizabeth.⁶
     In 1920 Edgar was living at Main Street, Windsor^G, and was recorded in the census as Edgar W Sackett, a grocery store owner, head of household, aged 44 and born in Connecticut. He owned his home. Living with him were his wife Elizabeth, 40, and their daughter Avis, aged 15.⁷
     In 1930 he was living at Poquonock Avenue, Windsor^G, and was recorded as Edgar W Sackett, a farm laborer, head of household, aged 55. He owned his home. Living with him was his wife Elizabeth, aged 50.⁸

Avis J Sackett, daughter of Edgar William Sackett and Elizabeth Jane Taylor, was born in Connecticut^G on 10 August 1904.^1,2 She died aged 79 in Windsor, Connecticut^G, on 16 May 1984^2,3 and was buried at Elm Grove Cemetery, Windsor^G.⁴ She married about 1925, Roger H Stowell.¹ Roger was born in Connecticut^G about 1903.¹ He died aged 81 in Hartford^G on 10 May 1985⁵ and was buried at Elm Grove Cemetery, Hartford^G.⁴
     In 1920 Avis was living at Main Street, Windsor^G, in the household of her parents Edgar and Elizabeth, and was recorded in the census as Avis J Sacket, aged 15 and born in Connecticut.⁶
     In 1930 she was living in Windsor^G in the household of her husband Rodger, 26, a cashier in an oil company, and was recorded as Avis Stowell, aged 25. They rented their home.⁷

Merritt Sackett Spaulding, son of Daniel R Spaulding and Mary Sackett, was born on 6 August 1837.¹

Lorain Amelia Spaulding, daughter of Daniel R Spaulding and Rhoda Sackett, was born on 5 June 1843.

Infant daughter Spaulding, daughter of Daniel R Spaulding and Rhoda Sackett, was born on 17 April 1846.¹ She died in infancy on 24 April 1846 and was buried at Benedict Cemetery, Norfolk, Litchfield County, Connecticut^G.²

Mary Spaulding, daughter of Daniel R Spaulding and Rhoda Sackett, was born on 14 February 1851.

Joseph Sackett was born in Canada^G about 1815.¹ His parents have not been identified. He married before 1842, Philena E Root. Philena was born in Connecticut^G about 1815.^2,3 She died aged 37 in Norfolk, Litchfield County, Connecticut^G, on 13 March 1853⁴ and was buried at Center Cemetery, Norfolk^G.⁵
     In 1850 Joseph was living in Norfolk, Litchfield County, Connecticut^G, and was recorded in the census as Joseph Sacket, a laborer, aged 31 and born in Canada. Living with him were his wife Philena, 34, and their children, Trelawney, 6, William, 4, Nazare, 2, and Olive, aged one.⁶

Sarah A Sackett, daughter of Joseph Sackett and Philena E Root, was born about June 1851. She died in infancy in Norfolk, Litchfield County, Connecticut^G, on 2 February 1852 and was buried at Center Cemetery, Norfolk^G.¹
