According to the records she married in Westfield^G on 17 April 1850, Rufus S Mixter, son of Joseph Mixter.^3,4 However, subsequent census records and her death record indicate that she remained single.
     In 1850 Miranda was living in Westfield^G and was recorded in the census as Miranda Sacket, aged 30, and born in Massachusetts. Living with her was her brother Augustus, a farmer, aged 19.⁵
     In 1855 she was living in Westfield^G in the household of her parents Roland and Sarah, and was recorded as Morinda Sackett, aged 35.⁶

     In 1850 Augustus was living in Westfield^G and was recorded in the census as Augustus Sacket, a farmer, aged 19 and born in Massachusetts. Living with him was his sister Miranda, aged 30.⁷
     In 1860 he was living in Southwick, Hampden County^G, and was recorded as Augustus Sacket, a farmer, aged 28. Living with him were his wife Sybil, 32, and their children, Emogene, 2, and Maryenetta, aged ten months.⁸
     In 1870 he was living in Southwick, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, and was recorded as Augustus Sackett, a farmer, aged 39. Living with him were his wife Sybil, 42, and their children, Irena, 12, Nettie, 10, and Lucy, aged nine. There was also a farm laborer in the household.⁹
