Lavonne Winifred Sackett, daughter of Mark Alvin Sackett and Nellie Winifred Walker, was born in Mason City, Cerro Gordo County, Iowa^G, on 26 November 1926.¹ She died by suicide aged 51 at home at 2311 Shadydale Drive, Arlington, Tarrant County, Texas^G, on 8 March 1978^2,3 and was buried at Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington^G, on 10 March 1978.^5,6 She married at San Francisco, California^G, on 3 June 1945, Frederick Hugh Bell.⁴ Frederick was born in Dallas, Texas^G, on 7 June 1924.⁴ He died aged 58 in Arlington, Texas^G, on 4 July 1982⁴ and was buried at Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington^G.⁷

Lloyd Leon Sackett, son of Edward Leon Sackett and Beatrice Olila Beldon, was born in Skyberg, Goodhue County, Minnesota^G, on 27 January 1905.¹ He died aged 93 in Park Rapids, Hubbard County, Minnesota^G, on 26 January 1999^2,3,4 and was buried at Henrietta Cemetery, Dorset, Hubbard County^G.^5,6 He married at the Methodist Church, Dodge Center, Dodge County, Minnesota^G, on 10 May 1930, Gazelle Sara Dutton, daughter of Burton Lee Dutton and Lilly Rebecca Wesenberg. Gazelle was born in Dows, Franklin County, Iowa^G, on 19 April 1907.^5,7 She died aged 100 in Park Rapids^G on 29 May 2007 and was buried at Henrietta Cemetery^G.⁵

Mark Alvin Sackett, son of Edward L Sackett and Clara Rosella "Rosa" Skinner, was born in Winnebago, Faribault County, Minnesota^G, on 2 September 1895.¹ He died aged 88 in Mason City, Cerro Gordo County, Iowa^G, on 7 July 1984^2,3 and was buried at Elmwood St Joseph Cemetery, Mason City^G.⁵ He married first in Mason City^G on 29 July 1919, Nellie Winifred Walker, daughter of Harry Walker and Edith Williams.⁴ Nellie was born in Portland, Cerro Gordo County^G, on 20 April 1895. She died aged 46 in Mason City^G on 3 October 1941 and was buried at Elmwood Cemetery on 6 October 1941. He married second at Clear Lake, Cerro Gordo County, Iowa^G, on 22 December 1945, Reba Dorrie Donaldson, widow of Grant Brewer, daughter of Charles Herbert Donaldson and Elizabeth F Durry. Reba was born on 7 September 1898.¹ She died aged 92 in Mason City^G in April 1991.⁶

He sailed with his battalion to France, leaving Hoboken, New Jersey, on 20 October 1918 on the Megantic. He returned on the USS Canonicus, leaving Bordeaux on 28 June 1919 and arriving at Newport News, Virginia, on 10 July 1919.^3,10

Living with him were his wife Nellie, 35, and their daughter Lavonne, aged three. There was also a female boarder in the household.¹³
     Mark completed a World War II draft registration card on 27 April 1942. He was aged 46 and was living at Shark Park, San Francisco, California^G, although his place of employment was in Mason City, Iowa. His daughter Lavonne was with him in San Francisco and he gave her name as next of kin. His draft registration was completed in Mason City.¹⁴
