Louis Clinton Petrie, son of Charles Henry Petrie and Lovancha Geraldine McKay, was born in Brantford, Ontario, CanadaG, on 6 September 1888.1,2 He died in Monrovia, Los Angeles County, CaliforniaG, on 28 October 1966.1,3 He married first Marie Ingersoll.4 He married second Anna Margaret Heieck.1
     Louis served in the US Army Signal Corps during the First World War.2

Louis Petrie Requiem Mass set Wednesday
MONROVIA—Louis Clinton Petrie Sr., 78, long-time resident of the San Gabriel Valley, died Friday following a long illness.
     He was born in Brantford, Ont., Canada, but spent his youth in Holland, Mich., and later attended the University of Michigan.
     The family moved to Monrovia in 1945 when he purchased the Monrovia Hospital, which he owned and operated until 1959.
     Mr. Petrie was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion. He was a member of the Elks for over 52 years.
     He is survived by his wife, Anna of Covina, four daughters, Mrs. Jean Rose of San Pedro, Miss Mary Louise Petrie of Covina, Mrs. Sally Ury of Whittier, and Miss Karen Ellen Petrie of Pasadena; two sons, Louis C. Petrie Jr. of Monrovia and George Petrie of Seattle, Wash; a brother Dewey of New York City and seven grandchildren.
     Rosary will be recited at the Chapel of the Temple and La Gorge Mortuary at 8 p.m. Tuesday and Requiem Mass celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Los Angeles.
     In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to his name to the Jesuit Seminary Association, 233 Grant Avenue, San Francisco.

Reuben T Sackett Jr, son of Reuben T Sackett and Martha Ann Nugent, was born in Rapides Parish, LouisianaG, on 19 July 1822.1 He died aged 42 from dysentery in the Marine Hospital US Forces, New Orleans, LouisianaG, on 13 August 18642 and was buried at Chalmette National Cemetery, LouisianaG.2 He married in LouisianaG on 17 June 1847, Aloidy Lemoine.1
     Reuben Sackett served in the American Civil War as a private in the Louisiana Cavalry Scouts of the Union Army. He died in service.2,3
     In 1860 Reuben was living in Winn Parish, LouisianaG, and was recorded in the census as Reuben T Sackett, a farmer, aged 39 and born in Louisiana. Living with him were his wife Rody, 27, and their children, Martha, 12, Mary, 8, Elizabeth, 5, and Julia, aged two.4

    R T Sackett is buried in section 67 grave number 5387, the section and grave are on the right hand side of the Cemetery while looking towards the River. The section is next to the brick wall on the Battlefield side,approximately 3/4th of the length form the entrance.While the headstone shows it's age it is still in acceptable condition. The inscription simply states, " R.T. SACKETT LA"

    Branch: Inf.
    Rueben T Sackett (Jr.) is buried on the battlefield where his father surely served during the War of 1812. He was a member of U. S. Forces at the time of his death."

Mary E Sackett, daughter of Reuben T Sackett Jr and Aloidy Lemoine, was born in Iatt, Grant Parish, LouisianaG, on 18 February 1852.2,3,4 She died aged 83 in Grant Parish, LouisianaG, on 13 April 1935 and was buried at Verda Cemetery, Grant ParishG.2,3 She married as his second wife in LouisianaG about 1878, John Bennett Lasyone.5 John was born in Iatt, Grant ParishG, on 5 February 1823.2,6 His first wife, Mary Vallery, by whom he had seven children, died in 1877.7 He died aged 87 in Grant ParishG on 10 April 1910 and was buried at Verda CemeteryG.2
     In 1860 Mary was living in Winn Parish, LouisianaG, in the household of her parents Reuben and Rody, and was recorded in the census as Mary Sackett, aged eight and born in Louisiana.8
     In 1880 she was living in Winn Parish, LouisianaG, in the household of her husband John, 60 [actually 57], a farmer, and was recorded as Mary Lasyone, aged 38 [actually 28]. Living with them were John's children by his first marriage, Floyd, 19, Serina, 16, Salina, 10, and Felix, aged six. A son, John, aged two, is assumed to be Reuben, the son of John and Mary, born in 1879.9
     In 1900 she was living in Grant Parish, LouisianaG, in the household of her husband John, 78, a farmer, and was recorded as Mary Lasyone, aged 45 [actually 48]. Living with them were their children, Reuben, 21, Rufus, 19, Robert, 16, and John, aged twelve.10
