     In 1855 Horace was living in Lewis, New York State^G, and was recorded in the census as H N Sackett, a farmer, aged 36 and born in Lewis County. Living with him were his wife Harriet, 39, their children, Earl, 9, and Emma, aged two, and their adopted daughter Loisa Sackett, aged eleven. The family had lived in Lewis County for eight years. Horace's brother James and father Marvin lived nearby.³

Ann Eliza Sackett, daughter of Martin Sackett and Eliza Hale, was born on 11 August 1833.¹ She died aged 39 on 6 February 1873.¹ She married at Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, on 3 January 1855, John L Cooke.^1,2,3

Martin H Sackett, son of Martin Sackett and Eliza Hale, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, on 20 May 1850.^1,2 He died aged 29 on 29 August 1879.² He married in Holyoke, Hampden County^G, on 12 November 1874, Jane K Cochrane, daughter of Charles Cochrane and Jane ___.^3,4 Jane K Cochrane was born in Holyoke^G about 1853.⁵

     In 1880 Anne was living at Boulder, Colorado^G, in the household of her parents Henry and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Anna J Sacket, aged three and born in Illinois.²

Robert Francis Sackett, son of George Seymour Sackett and Rachel Hetsler, was born in Michigan^G on 26 December 1843.^1,2 He died aged 18 of typhoid fever while serving as a Union soldier in the 5th Regiment, Michigan Cavalry, during the American Civil War in 1862.^1,3 He was buried in the National Cemetery, Washington, DC^G.
     In 1850 Robert was living in Clinton, Macomb County, Michigan^G, in the household of his parents George and Rachel, and was recorded in the census as Robert Sackett, aged eight and born in Michigan.⁴

Jacob Seymour Sackett, son of George Seymour Sackett and Rachel Hetsler, was born in Michigan^G on 3 March 1847.^1,2 He died aged 17 at the Hospital at Lookout Mountain, Tennessee, on 16 June 1864.^1,3

     Jacob served in the American Civil War as a private in Company H, 22nd Michigan Volunteer Infantry Regiment. He died in the service, of chronic diarrhoea.³

Hiram Truman Sackett, engineer, son of George Seymour Sackett and Rachel Hetsler, was born in Mount Pleasant, Isabella County, Michigan^G, on 21 March 1849.^1,2,3 He married first in 1873, Nancy/Annie Coudry.¹ Nancy/Annie was born in New York State^G about 1859.² He married second in Detroit, Michigan^G, on 30 March 1887, Minnie A McGill. Minnie was born in New York State^G about 1862.⁶ He married third in Detroit^G on 14 September 1895, Augusta E (Moulitz) Sheffler, daughter of William Moulitz.⁴ He was referred to as "Harry T" on the marriage record. Augusta was born in Germany^G in February 1857.² He married fourth at Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan^G, on 1 April 1924, Mary (Kohler) Bordon, daughter of George Kohler and Rozanna Hant.⁵ Mary was born in Fulton County, Ohio^G, about 1859.⁶
     In 1850 Hiram was living in Clinton, Macomb County, Michigan^G, in the household of his parents George and Rachel, and was recorded in the census as Hiram Sackett, aged one and born in Michigan.⁷
     In 1870 he was living in Nankin, Wayne County, Michigan^G, in the household of Samuel Ackley, and was recorded as Hiram Sackett, a railroad worker, aged 22 and born in Michigan.⁸
     In 1880 he was living at Saginaw Avenue, Pontiac, Oakland County, Michigan^G, and was recorded as Hiram Sackett, a laborer, head of household, married, aged 31. Living with him were his wife Nancy, 21, and their children, William, 4, and Egbert, aged one.⁹
     In 1900 he was living at Riopelle Street, Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan^G, and was recorded as Hiram T Sackett, an engineer, head of household, aged 51 and born in Ohio [all other records give his birthplace as Michigan]. Living with him were his second wife, Augusta, 43, and Augusta's five children from her first marriage.¹⁰
     In 1910 he was living at Brewster Street, Detroit^G, and was recorded as Hiram A Sackett, an engineer, head of household, aged 61. Living with him were his wife Augusta, 53, and two of her children by her first marriage.¹¹
     In 1920 he was living at Perry Street, Pontiac, Oakland County, Michigan^G, and was recorded as Hiram T Sackett, aged 70, a lodger in the household of Ferdinand Vaughan.¹²
