Kirtland Monroe Sackett, son of Edwin Sackett and Elizabeth Hall, was born in MichiganG on 21 January 1854.1,2,3 He died aged 54 on 28 August 1908 and was buried at Brooklyn Memorial Cemetery, Brooklyn, Poweshiek County, IowaG.3 He married on 25 November 1879, Nancy E Campbell.3 Nancy was born in KentuckyG about 1864.2
In 1880 Kirtland was living in Scott, Poweshiek County, IowaG, and was recorded in the census as Kirk Sackett, a farmer, aged 26, and born in Michigan. Living with him was his 16-year-old wife Nancy.2
In 1885 he was living in Scott, Poweshiek County, IowaG, and was recorded as Kirk Sackett, a farmer, married, aged 30 and born in Michigan. Living with him were his wife Nancy, 20, and their children, Susan, 4, and Frank T, aged two.4
