Richard Johnson Sackett, son of Isaac Sackett and Mary Johnson, was born in Brooklyn, New York City, New York StateG, on 10 October 1838.1 He died aged 40 on 2 February 1879.1 He married in Latona, IllinoisG, on 1 May 1855, Matilda Tombs, daughter of Robert Tombs and Jane Small.1 Matilda was born in IrelandG in 18331,2 and died in 1902.1
     In 1850 Richard was living in Laona, Winnebago County, IllinoisG, in the household of his parents Isaac and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Richard S? Sackett, aged twelve and born in New York.3
[Richard] was born at Brooklyn, N. Y., but spent the greater part of his adult life in the state of Ohio. For several years he resided at Chicago and followed the occupation of traveling salesman. At one time he made a trip to Pike's Peak in an unsuccessful search for gold, but the last ten years of his life were spent on a farm at Latona, Ill.

George Washington Sackett, son of Israel Sackett and Margaret Jane Allen, was born on 3 March 1841.1 He died aged 60 in BrooklynG on 26 February 1902.1,2 His last residence was at 437 Monroe Street, BrooklynG.2 He married in Schenectady, New York StateG, on 5 April 1866, Josephine Dorsch, daughter of Peter Dorsch and Magdelen Becker.1
     In 1869 George was living in his father's household at 20 Butler Street, BrooklynG, and was listed in the city directory as a bookkeeper.3
     In 1892 George was living in Brooklyn, New York StateG, and was recorded in the census as George Sackett, a merchant, aged 51. Robert Lytle Sackett, son of Israel Sackett and Margaret Jane Allen, was born on 8 February 1846.1 He died before 1920 (when his wife Abbie was described as a widow.)2,3 He married first on 26 September 1883, Clara Augusta Wall, daughter of William W Wall and Clara Goodsell.1
     Robert and Clara were divorced in about 1893 after Clara left to take up an acting career and Robert published newspaper advertisements disclaiming responsibility for his wife's mounting debts. The newspapers made much of the evident acrimony between the parties.4 He married second about 1900, Abbie K ___.3 Abbie was born in New York StateG about 18593 and died aged 99 in Stamford, Fairfield County, ConnecticutG, on 4 December 1958.5,6
     In 1860 Robert was living in North Hempstead, Queens County, New York StateG, in the household of his parents Israel and Margaret, and was recorded in the census as Robert L Sackett, aged 14 and born in New York.7
     In 1869 Robert was living in his father's household at 20 Butler Street, BrooklynG, and was listed in the city directory as a clerk.8
     In 1870 he was living in Brooklyn, New York City, New York StateG, and was recorded as Robert S Sackett, a store clerk, aged 24. He was a resident in a boarding house.9
     In 1880 he was living in BrooklynG and was recorded as Robert Sackett, a bookkeeper, aged 35, single. He was a boarder in the household of Anna Anderson, 48, a widow.10
     Robert was listed as a lithographer in the Mount Vernon city directories of 1899, 1911, and 1912. In the 1914 edition he was listed as a vice-president [presumably of the Sackett & Wilhelms Lithographing Company].11
     In 1900 he was living at Mount Vernon, Westchester County, New York StateG, and was recorded as Robert L Sackett, lithographer, head of household, divorced, aged 54 and born in New York.      In 1910 he was living at East Sidney Avenue, Mount Vernon, Westchester County, New York StateG, in the household of his daughter Maud and son-in-law Irving Deming, and was recorded as Robert L Sackett, a print salesman, aged 64. His second wife, Abbie, was living with him.13
     In 1920 Abbie, aged 60 and now a widow, was living at Harmon Avenue, Pelham, Westchester County, New York StateG, with her stepdaughter Maude and Maude's husband Irving.14
     Abbie was listed in the 1922 Mount Vernon, New York, City Directory, when she was living at 71 Harmon Avenue, Mount VernonG.2 She moved by 1930 to Greenwich, ConnecticutG.15
     In 1930 Abbie, aged 70, was living at Riverside Avenue, Greenwich, Fairfield County, ConnecticutG, with her stepdaughter Maude and Maude's second husband Edgar Walz.16 She was also listed there in the 1940 census, living with Maude and Edgar.17 She remained at Riverside Avenue, GreenwichG, for the rest of her life, the last entry in the Greenwich Directory recording her death in 1958.15
