Eliza Frances Spain, daughter of Thomas Spain and Harriet Crow Jarman, was born in St Lawrence in Thanet, KentG, in 1846.1
     In 1851 Eliza was living at 2 Portland Court, RamsgateG, in the household of her parents Thomas and Harriet, and was recorded in the census as Eliza Spain, a scholar, aged four and born in St Lawrence.2
     In 1861 she was living at 3 Cumberland Cottages, St Lawrence in ThanetG, in the household of her parents Thomas and Harriet, and was recorded as Eliza Spain, a scholar, aged 14 and born in St Lawrence.3
