Jane Elizabeth Clark, daughter of John James Clark and Eliza Frances Spain, was born in Minster in Thanet, KentG, in 1874.1 She died aged 34 in Thanet, KentG, in 1909.2 She married in ThanetG in 1895, Charles Joseph Greengrass.3 Charles was born in 1873.4 He died in 1945.4
In 1881 Jane was living at Droves Delight, Minster in ThanetG, in the household of her widowed mother Eliza, and was recorded in the census as Jane E Clark, aged six and born in Minster in Thanet.5
In 1891 she was living in Minster in ThanetG in the household of her widowed mother Eliza, and was recorded as Jane Clark, aged 16.6
In 1901 she was living at 29 Plains of Waterloo, Ramsgate, KentG, in the household of her husband Charles Greengrass, 27, a self-employed bootmaker, and was recorded as Jane Greengrass, aged 26. Living with them were their children, Herbert, 3, and Charles, aged three months.7 Their son Walter, aged four, was living at 15 Victoria Terrace, Birchington, KentG, with Jane's mother Eliza.8
