Emma Jane Clark, daughter of John James Clark and Eliza Frances Spain, was born in Acol, KentG, in 1871.1,2
     In 1871 Emma was living in Acol, KentG, in the household of her parents John and Eliza, and was recorded in the census as Emma Clark, aged three months and born in Acol.3
     In 1881 she was living at Droves Delight, Minster in ThanetG, in the household of her widowed mother Eliza, and was recorded as Emma J Clark, aged ten.4
