Maria Sackett, daughter of Rev Edward Saunders Sackett and Maria Gaskell, was born in Wainfleet, LincolnshireG, on 12 August 1843.1,2,3 She died aged 65 in Horsforth, YorkshireG, on 4 June 1909.2 She married in Grove Chapel, HorsforthG, on 29 November 1876, John Hartley Blackburn, a chartered accountant.4,5,6 John was born in 18482 and died aged about 32 in 1880.2
     In 1851 Maria was living at West Street, New Sleaford, LincolnshireG, in the household of her widowed mother Maria, and was recorded in the census as Maria Sackett, aged seven and born in Wainfleet.7

Catherine Sackett, daughter of Rev Edward Saunders Sackett and Maria Gaskell, was born in Wainfleet, LincolnshireG, in 1845.1,2 She died aged about 39 in Selby, YorkshireG, in 1884.3 She married in Horsforth Chapel, Guiseley, YorkshireG, on 3 February 1870, Dr Charles Jack, son of Thomas Jack.4,5,3,6,7 Charles was born in 1843.3

Emma Sackett, daughter of Rev Edward Saunders Sackett and Maria Gaskell, was born in Norwich, NorfolkG, in 1847.1 She died aged about 38 in Roundhay, Leeds, YorkshireG, in 1885.2 She married in Kirkstall, YorkshireG, in 1868, Thomas Henry Vickers.3 Thomas was born in Selby, YorkshireG, on 8 January 1843.2
     In 1851 Emma was living at 3 St James Square, St John's, Margate, KentG, in the household of her grandparents, George and Ann Gaskell, and was recorded in the census as Emma Sackett, aged three and born in Norwich, Norfolk.4
     In 1871 she was living at Leeds Road, Potter Newton, Leeds, YorkshireG, in the household of her husband Thomas, 26, an oil merchant and dry salter, and was recorded as Emma Vickers, aged 23 and born in Norwich. Living with them were their children, Henry, 2, and Margaret, aged one month. Also in the household were two female servants: a general domestic servant and a nurse.5
     In 1891 she was living at Park Villas, Park Road, Rounday, YorkshireG, in the household of her husband Thomas, 46, an oil merchant, and was recorded as Emma Vickers, aged 43 and born in Norwich. Living with them were their children, Henry, 22, Margaret, 20, Emma, 18, Edward, 16, and Olive, aged 13. Also in the household was a female domestic servant.6
     In 1911 she was living at 14a Preston Road, Westcliff-on-Sea, Southend-on-Sea, EssexG, in the household of her widowed son Henry, and was recorded as Emma Vickers, a widow, aged 64 and born in Norwich.7

Edward Gaskell Sackett, chartered accountant, son of Rev Edward Saunders Sackett and Maria Gaskell, was born in Barking, EssexG, in 1849.1,2 He died aged 76 at the Infirmary, Bagthorpe, NottinghamG, on 6 October 1925.3,4,5 He married in West Derby, LancashireG, on 1 December 1877, Alice Horsburgh, daughter of James Horsburgh.6,7,8 She was born in Dundee, ScotlandG, in 18548 and died aged 69 in NottinghamG in 1923.9
     In 1851 Edward was living at West Street, New Sleaford, LincolnshireG, in the household of his widowed mother Maria, and was recorded in the census as Edward G Sackett, aged one and born in Barking.10
     In 1871 Edward was living at 30 Newroad Side, Horsforth, YorkshireG, in the household of his mother Maria, and was recorded in the census as Edward George Sackett, a banker's clerk, unmarried, aged 21, and born in Barking, Essex.11
     In 1881 he was living at New Road Side, HorsforthG, in the household of his mother Maria, and was recorded as Edward G Sacket, an accountant, married, aged 31, and born in Barking, Essex. Also living with him were his wife Alice, aged 26, and born in Dundee, Scotland, their children Edward, 2, and Nora, aged 11 months, and a female general servant.12
     In 1891 he was living at 35 Sherwood Rise, Basford, NottinghamshireG, and was recorded as Edward G Sackett, chartered accountant, head of household, married, aged 41 and born in Barking. Living with him were his wife Alice, 36, and their children, Nora, 10, Edgar, 8, Harry, 6, and Mabel, aged three. Also in the household was a female domestic servant.13
     In 1891 Edward had offices at 17 Low Pavement, NottinghamG. In addition to his accountancy practice, he was secretary of the Sutton Park Freehold Land Society. In 1894 he was living at 11 Berridge Road, Nottingham, and was again listed as a chartered accountant with offices at 17 Low Pavement.14,15
     In 1901 he was living at 11 Burridge Road, Hyson Green, NottinghamG, and was recorded as Edward G Sackett, a chartered accountant, head of household, aged 51. Living with him were his wife Alice, 46, and their children,
Edward, 22, Nora, 20, Harry, 16, Mabel, 13, Eileen, 6, and Edith, aged four. There was also a female domestic servant in the household.16
     In 1911 he was living at 5 Berridge Road East, NottinghamG, and was recorded as Edward Gaskell Sackett, chartered accountant, head of household, aged 61 and born in Barking, Essex. Living with him were his wife Alice, 56, and their daughters, Mabel, 23, Eileen, 16, and Edith, aged 14. There wa also a female domestic servant in the household.17
     Edward and his son Edward S Gordon Sackett were in partnership as chartered accountants until 31 May 1913 when they dissolved their partnership and subsequently practised separately.18
     Edward was appointed a Public Auditor for the years 1915 and 1917.19
     In 1921 he was living at 34 Tavistock Drive, NottinghamG, and was recorded as Edward G Sackett, a chartered accountant, an employer, head of household, aged 72. Living with him were his wife Alice, 67, and their daughter Edith, 25.20
     Administration of Edward's estate was granted on 3 May 1927 to George Bristow, an accountant, apparently to recover a debt of £122.21
