Thankful Sacket, daughter of Samuel Sacket and Ruth Trumble, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 29 January 1742/431,2,3 and baptized at the Church of Christ, WestfieldG, on 27 February 1743.4 She married about 1763, Hopestill King.5
Thankful was named as a beneficiary in her father's will made at Sheffield, Berkshire County, MassachusettsG, on 3 April 1760. She was left a one-fifth share of his estate, subject to her mother's "widow's third."
On 6 May 1782 Hopestill and Thankful King sold that part of Sacket Farm now in their ownership following Thankful's inheritance from her father and following the deaths of her brother Samuel and sister Rachel. They sold their three-fifths of the land to Ezra Fellows for £90.6

Sacket, Samuel, Sheffield, Private in Capt. William Bacon's Co. Minute Men, Col. Fellow's Regt., which marched Apr. 21, in response to the alarm of Apr. 19, 1775; service to May 7, 1775, 17 days; reported enlisted into the army. Also Capt. William Bacon's Co., Col. Fellow's Regt., muster roll dated Aug. 1, 1775. Enlisted May 8, 1775, service 3 months 1 day, also company return dated Oct. 6, 1775.
