Joel Sacket, son of William Sacket and Lydia Weller, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 23 January 17721,2,3 and baptized at the Church of Christ, WestfieldG, on 26 January 1772.4 He married first at the First Church, WestfieldG, on 24 January 1799, Clarissa Sacket, daughter of Lieutenant Abner Sacket and Rhoda Kellogg.5,6,7 She died in Westfield, MassachusettsG, on 18 May 1801. He married second after 1801, Abigail Sheldon.
