Ezra Sacket, son of Eliakim Sacket and Bethesda Fowler, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 15 November 17501,2,3 and baptized at the Church of Christ, WestfieldG, on 6 January 1751.4 He died aged 83 in WestfieldG on 6 April 1834.1,5 He married first in WestfieldG in 1776, Ann Newton.6,7 He married second in WestfieldG on 14 February 1779, Lydia Lovering.1,8,9 She was born about 175010 and died aged 80 in WestfieldG on 12 April 1831.11
Ezra was named as a beneficiary in his father's will made in WestfieldG on 5 July 1764. He was left a sum of £450.
Ezra served as a private in the American Revolutionary War in his cousin Captain Daniel Sacket's Company (7th Company, Hampshire County (Massachusetts) Regiment.)12
In 1790 Ezra was living in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG. In his household were one man, two boys, and five females.13
Ezra was listed in the census in 1800, 1810 and 1820 as a householder in WestfieldG.14,15,16
Ezra made his will in WestfieldG on 1 March 1834. He left sums of $1 to his daughters, Lydia, Charlotte, and Electa, and to his son Ezra. His daughter Julia was to receive $3, daughter Clarissa $20, and daughter Olive $30. He left his brass kettle to his daughter-in-law Abigail, wife of son Charles. The real estate was to go to his sons, Charles and Roland. The will was proved at the Hampden County Probate Court on 3 June 1834. However, it was found that claims against the estate, amounting to $807, rendered the estate insolvent. The Court appointed Commissioners on 4 December 1834. Ezra's real estate comprised mostly 200 acres of mountain land valued at $800. This was presumably sold to pay the creditors, recorded on 2 June 1835 at a slightly lower figure of $733.17

191. Ezra Sacket, 1750–1834, of Westfield, Mass., son of (42) Eliakim and Bethesda Fowler Sacket, was married, Feb. 14, 1779, to Lydia Lovering, 1751–731 [sic], of Ipswich. He was a patriot soldier and served three months, from Oct. 20, 1777, under Capt. Daniel Sacket, in Northern Department.
